2025 has been declared the Year of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Peace and Unity in the Fight Against Nazism.
The proposal was approved by the leaders of the CIS countries during a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth.
The summit also discussed a block of cultural and humanitarian issues within the framework of the CIS countries. Under the auspices of the Commonwealth, an international organization will be created in 2023 to support and promote the Russian language.

🏅 The Russian team won the medal standings of the tournament. Russians have 149 gold, 89 silver and 50 bronze medals. The second place was taken by the team of Belarus, the third by Uzbekistan.

The event will be held as part of the international conference “Russian language - the basis of integration dialogue in the Commonwealth of Independent States region”, which will run for two days - October 26 and 27.
The purpose of the event is to reveal the potential of the Russian language in the CIS countries for cooperation in culture, science and education.

On October 26, 2023, a round table “Russian language in the CIS countries: potential for cooperation in culture, science and education” was held at the Presidential Library. The event was organized as part of the international conference “Russian language - the basis of integration dialogue in the Commonwealth of Independent States region”, which is held on October 26 and 27 and is the central event dedicated to this topic.
Organizers of the round table: the Presidential Library and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
General Director of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov emphasized: “The joint holding of the international conference “Russian language is the basis of integration dialogue in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States” is another step in the development of cooperation between the Presidential Library and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.”
By decision of the Council of Heads of State - Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, 2023 was declared the Year of the Russian Language as the language of interethnic communication in the Commonwealth.
