Russia proposes a new approach to smart farming
MOSCOW, July 3 - RIA Novosti. A unique system for remote analysis of the state of soil and sea ice was created by NCFU scientists. According to the authors, the development will become a key sensor for smart farming systems, and will also help optimize the costs of creating transport sea corridors in the Arctic. A patent has been received for the development, the press service of the university reported.
Systems for remote sensing of the earth's surface, according to scientists, today are increasingly based on UAVs, and not on satellites. This approach allows to achieve much greater detail of data and increase the speed of their collection and processing.

Scientists from Samara University have developed and tested miniature lenses of a new type, which will simplify and reduce the cost of optical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and nanosatellites. The lenses are intended for use in solving tasks of environmental monitoring and smart agriculture. They will accelerate the processing of data obtained from space and do not require complex computer information processing. The lenses can also be used for remote monitoring of agricultural crops and in biomedical research.

Ученые Самарского университета разработали и испытали миниатюрные линзы нового типа, которые позволят упростить и удешевить оптические системы беспилотных летательных аппаратов и наноспутников. Линзы предназначены для использования при решении задач экологического мониторинга и умного земледелия. Они позволят ускорить обработку данных, получаемых из космоса, и не требуют сложной компьютерной обработки информации. Линзы могут быть применены также для дистанционного наблюдения за сельхозпосевами и в биомедицинских исследованиях.
