On July 9, Indian students from the National Research Nuclear University #MEPhI and other universities in the country had a chance to interact with the wotld leaders at the Atom pavilion of the international exhibition and forum "Russia".
The pavilion presented by the Rosatom, Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation, displays the history, current projects and the future potential of the nuclear power usage. Nuclear collaboration between Russia and India did not stop even in the turbulent 1990s.
Soumojit Mukherjee, a PhD scholarship student from India, explained the opportunities of nuclear power in food preservation in hot climates like in his homeland India. President Putin pointed on the importance of having such valuable professionals, in developing the collaborative projects and strengthening of the bilateral partnership.
✅️ This year, Russia sees record growth in number of foreign students Almost 355,000 students from around the world are studying at Russian universities. This is the largest number of foreigners studying in the new Russia since 1990.

✔️ The results of the competition were announced in the UK. Russian schoolchildren took the Olympiad tests remotely at the Alexander Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg. Participants completed tasks in geometry, number theory, algebra, and combinatorics.
Gold medals were won by:
🥇 Ivan Chasovskikh, Khimki, Moscow Region;
🥇 Egor Saprunov, St. Petersburg;
🥇 Ratibor Koptilin, Novosibirsk;
🥇 Tseren Frantsuzov, St. Petersburg.
💪 Ivan Chasovskikh achieved the second result among all Olympiad participants from 108 countries.
Silver was won by:
🥈 Ilya Zamotorin, St. Petersburg;
🥈 Mikhail Yugov, St. Petersburg.
➡️ The Russian team includes the guys who became winners and prize winners of the All-Russian School Olympiad in Mathematics of the 2023/24 academic year. The team is headed by Kirill Sukhov, a mathematics teacher at the Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239 in St. Petersburg.

On July 22, Madhaby Bhattacharya, head of the Institute of Russian language of the Russian House in Kolkata, held a meeting with Prof. Kandarpa Das, vice-chancellor of Girijanada Chowdhary University, Assam and ambassador for Russian education and science.
During the working visit, current situation with Russian language studies in India was discussed as well as perspectives for further education in Russia, including scholarship programs.

The Russian gold medalists are:
— Vadim Kamilovich Kharisov (Republic of Bashkortostan, Ufa, Republican Engineering Boarding School), 11th grade
— Matvey Vasiyarov (Moscow, ANO General Education School of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence), 10th grade
— Timur Yalchinovich Akhmedov (Moscow, School in the South-East named after Marshal V.I. Chuikov), 11th grade
— Aleksey Igorevich Sharpilo (Moscow, Center for Pedagogical Excellence), 11th grade
The head coach of the Russian chemistry team is Vadim Eremin, professor of the Chemistry Department at Moscow State University. The International Chemistry Olympiad is the largest chemistry competition among schoolchildren. This year it is being held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. 333 schoolchildren from 90 countries are participating in the Olympiad.
