At the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, the admission campaign for foreign citizens has ended. In 2022, about 550 students from 70 countries of the world, including from the CIS countries, as well as from China, South Korea, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Syria, Peru, Ecuador and others, began to study at UNN. In total, about three thousand foreigners submitted applications.

“The most popular areas of study this year are general medicine, software engineering, international relations, psychology, law, management, and pedagogical areas,” said UNN Rector, Elena Zagainova.

Moreover, in 2022, UNN hosted the admission of foreign applicants for new international educational programs. In September, students from partner Zhengzhou University came to study Russian as a foreign language for the first time.

Now about 1900 foreign students from 91 countries of the world study at UNN.

В Нижегородском государственном университете имени Н.И. Лобачевского завершилась приёмная кампания иностранных граждан. В 2022 году в ННГУ начали обучаться около 550 студентов из 70 стран мира, в том числе из стран СНГ, а также из Китая, Южной Кореи, ЮАР, Алжира, Египта, Ирана, Сирии, Перу, Эквадора и других. Всего около трёх тысяч иностранцев подали заявления.

Более того, в 2022 году в ННГУ состоялся приём иностранных абитуриентов на новые международные образовательные программы. В сентябре студенты из партнёрского Университета Чжэнчжоу впервые приехали на обучение по программе изучения русского языка как иностранного.

Сейчас в ННГУ учатся около 1900 иностранных студентов из 91 страны мира.

Collaboration between Russian and Indian universities was discussed at the IIT Kharagpur.

Andrey Kondratiev, CEO of CDO Global, representatives of the Russia India Special Interest Group (RISING), an initiative of Chamber for Indo-Russian technology collaboration partnership with RUSSOFT Association and (Technological Sovereignty Exports Association) had a meeting at the IIT Kharagpur to promote common academic collaboration between the two countries.

The discussion was attended by the Director of IIT Kharagpur, Prof V K Tiwari and Deans and senior professors from the institute to proliferate areas of mutual cooperation between IIT and some of the Russian institutes.

IIT Kharagpur (Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur), established in 1951, is the oldest and largest IIT in India offering world-class education and research opportunities across disciplines. It is one of the most premier institutes in the country and is recognized globally for its quality of students, talents, faculty, alumni, and research output in Science & Technology, Humanities & Social Science, and Management.
