The Great Siberian Railway (as the Trans-Siberian Railroad used to be called) is a true record holder - it is the longest and most complex railroad in the world.
Its length is 9,288 kilometers, and it was built in just twenty-five years, which at that time was extremely fast. The construction began on May 19, 1891 (May 31 according to the new style), when future emperor Nikolai II laid the foundation stone of new train station near Vladivostok. In the 1890s, the builders were working with incredible speed, delivering up to 650 kilometers a year. And this is despite the fact that instruments of labour were far from being the most up-to-date: tunnels were blown up with dynamite and worked with pickaxe, embankments were erected with shovels and wheelbarrows. About 89 thousand people were involved in this ambitious construction - the most ambitious project of Emperor Alexander III. The last section of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the bridge over the Amur River in Khabarovsk, was opened on October 5, 1916.

Nogais is a Turkic people of the Northern Caucasus. They are one of the last nomads of the Great Steppe. Their ancestors are nomadic medieval Mongol and Turkic tribes. Today, these people mainly live in the territory from Dagestan to the Crimea.
Highly artistic processing of felt has been preserved by Nogais since ancient times. Women are primarily engaged in dressing wool.
The traditional cuisine of the people is dominated by meat and dairy products. The main national drink is koumiss. Also, Nogai people drink ayran, a hop drink Buza, and honey sorbet. The national tea is made in a special way. First, tea leaves are boiled in water, strained, then cream, homemade sour cream, salt and black pepper are added. The drink is served in bowls with honey, butter, and cheese. It is believed that the Nogais have at least five types of tea.

From 7 to 14 November in Moscow in the House of Russian Abroad named after A. Solzhenitsyn, the International Film Festival «Russian Abroad» will be held. It will show films dedicated to the cultural and scientific heritage of the Russian diaspora, created in Russia and other countries of the world.
The competition program includes films from national, regional, state, public film organizations, television companies in Russia and other countries, private television and film companies, individual filmmakers, and producers.
At the qualifying round, films about the history of the First World War, the state coup of 1917 and the Civil War in Russia, Russian exile, and the life of Russian people abroad were considered.
A main prize of the festival is a bronze statuette «Philosophical steamboat».
The event is supported by Rossotrudnichestvo.

С 7 по 14 ноября в Москве в Доме русского зарубежья имени А. И. Солженицына пройдет Международный кинофестиваль «Русское зарубежье». На нем покажут кинопроизведения, посвященные культурному и научному наследию русского зарубежья, созданные в России и других странах мира.

📍During the international export forum, ways to improve measures to support Russian manufacturers, as well as the contours of the development of trade and economic relations with other countries are being discussed.
❓ Its main tasks are to identify export development trends, as well as to demonstrate the opportunities that are provided to exporters by the state and development institutions.
As part of the exhibition part of the forum, samples of high-tech export products from different regions of the Russian Federation are presented. Its main part is occupied by science-intensive and innovative products, presented in the form of technological clusters:

The Leningrad region is helping to restore a residential quarter in Mariupol.
A full survey of all 77 houses of the residential area has already been carried out, an orthophotomap has been made, the territory has been cleared.
There are 49 apartment buildings, a general education school and a sports school for children and youth among the objects assigned to the Leningrad region in Mariupol. Also, a decision to dismantle 14 properties unsuitable for repair was made. Their residents will be provided with apartments, and new houses will be erected on the site of Soviet-built buildings.
By the end of the year, 12 apartment buildings will be commissioned. It is planned to complete the construction of 15 ones by May next year, the remaining other 8 will be restored by the end of 2023.

Уже проведено полное обследование всех 77 домов жилого квартала, сделан ортофотоплан, выполнена расчистка территории.
Среди объектов, закрепленных за Ленинградской областью в Мариуполе — 49 многоквартирных домов, общеобразовательная школа и детско-юношеская спортивная школа. Принято решение о демонтаже 14 объектов, непригодных к ремонту. Их жильцам предоставят квартиры, а на месте зданий советской постройки возведут новые дома.

⚡️🦠 Опубликовано и уже вступило в силу постановление Главного Государственного санитарного врача Российской Федерации от 17.10.2022 г. N 22 «О внесении изменений в постановление Главного Государственного санитарного врача Российской Федерации от 18.03.2020 г. N 7 «Об обеспечении режима изоляции в целях предотвращения распространения COVID-19».
Согласно постановлению отменено требование о предъявлении иностранцами, следующими в Российскую Федерацию, отрицательно результата ПЦР-теста при посадке в самолет.
Для россиян, возвращающихся в страну, отменено требование о прохождении в течение трех календарных дней по прибытии ПЦР-тестирования и о соблюдении режима изоляции до получения его результатов.
При этом для всех прибывающих в Россию лиц сохраняется необходимость заполнить анкету, размещенную на сайте Роспотребнадзора.
Согласно постановлению отменено требование о предъявлении иностранцами, следующими в Российскую Федерацию, отрицательно результата ПЦР-теста при посадке в самолет.
Для россиян, возвращающихся в страну, отменено требование о прохождении в течение трех календарных дней по прибытии ПЦР-тестирования и о соблюдении режима изоляции до получения его результатов.
