The Russian Society "Knowledge" announces the start of the fifth, anniversary season of its main award in the field of education - "Knowledge. Award".

Since 2021, the award has been presented to the most outstanding educators of the country: teachers, lecturers, authors, bloggers, as well as organizations and projects whose work inspires, teaches and unites millions of people.

The award is presented in 18 nominations, including the nomination "For Contribution to the Preservation of Traditional Values". This is a nomination for educational projects and educators who contribute to the strengthening of traditional values, the development of the spiritual and moral foundations of society, as well as strengthening the institution of the family, popularizing the role of traditions in the formation of a healthy and harmonious society.

Psychologists, teachers, cultural scientists, historians, public figures, authors of educational projects, as well as initiatives aimed at preserving and popularizing traditional values ​​can apply for nomination.

3 key categories for participants (nominees):
– educator (teachers, lecturers, bloggers, popularizers of science);
– educational project (films, books, platforms, events);
– educational campaign (organizations developing science, culture and education).

– assessment by experts and a jury;
– support from viewers in an open online vote.

⭐ 80 years ago, the Victory Banner was delivered to Moscow from Berlin.

In the fall of 1944, a decision was made to make 9 banners based on the USSR national flag for all divisions that stormed Berlin. Each of the volunteer groups that were entrusted with the banners tried to complete the important task as quickly as possible and raise the flag over the Reichstag. This symbolized the final victory over Nazism.

➡️ Flag No. 5, which became the Victory Banner, was installed on the roof of the Reichstag on April 30, 1945.

Later, the red flag on the roof of the parliament, pierced by bullets, was replaced, and the Victory Banner was delivered to Moscow on June 20, 1945 and transferred to the Central Museum of the Armed Forces.

🇷🇺 Only 20 years later, the banner was carried at the Victory Parade, having been restored, and in 1996 in Russia it was officially recognized as a symbol of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

⭐ 80 лет назад в Москву из Берлина доставили Знамя Победы.

Осенью 1944 года было принято решение изготовить 9 знамен по образцу государственного флага СССР для всех дивизий, штурмовавших Берлин. Каждая из добровольческих групп, которым доверили знамена, старалась как можно быстрее выполнить ответственную задачу и водрузить флаг над Рейхстагом. Это символизировало окончательную победу над нацизмом.

➡️ Флаг №5, ставший Знаменем Победы, установили на крыше Рейхстага 30 апреля 1945 года.

Позднее пробитый пулями красный флаг на крыше парламента заменили, а Знамя Победы 20 июня 1945 года доставили в Москву и передали в Центральный музей Вооруженных сил.

🇷🇺 Только спустя 20 лет знамя пронесли на параде Победы, предварительно отреставрировав, а в 1996 году в России его официально признали символом Победы советского народа в Великой Отечественной войне.

🕯️ June 22 marks one of the saddest dates in the history of Russia — the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow.

Exactly 84 years ago, Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union without declaring war. On that day, German aircraft launched massive strikes on airfields, railway junctions, naval bases and many cities, which led to colossal destruction.

The war that began separated families, took away peace and tranquility from people. The day before, graduation ceremonies were held in educational institutions across the country, the joy of which soon gave way to grief and anxiety. Young people, yesterday's schoolchildren and students, went to the front to defend their homeland.

The total human losses of the USSR during the war amounted to 26.6 million people, or 40% of all human losses in World War II. About one million Soviet soldiers gave their lives liberating the peoples of Europe from fascist oppression.

On this day, memorial events will be held in Russian houses abroad, including the "Candle of Memory", "Garden of Memory" and other events.

Today, Russia continues to fight fascism and extremism. Every year, the country submits a resolution to the UN General Assembly on countering the spread and propaganda of Nazism.

🕯️ 22 июня отмечается одна из самых печальных дат в истории России — День памяти и скорби.

Ровно 84 года назад фашистская Германия без объявления войны напала на Советский Союз. В тот день немецкая авиация нанесла массированные удары по аэродромам, железнодорожным узлам, военно-морским базам и многим городам, что привело к колоссальным разрушениям.

Начавшаяся война разлучила семьи, отняла у людей мир и спокойствие. Еще за день до этого в учебных заведениях страны проходили выпускные вечера, радость которых вскоре сменилась горем и тревогой. Молодые люди, вчерашние школьники и студенты, отправились на фронт, чтобы защищать свою Родину.

Общие людские потери СССР в ходе войны составили 26,6 миллиона человек или 40% всех людских потерь во Второй мировой войне. Около одного миллиона советских воинов отдали свои жизни при освобождении народов Европы от фашистского гнета.

В этот день в Русских домах за рубежом пройдут памятные мероприятия, в том числе акции «Свеча памяти», «Сад памяти» и другие.

Сегодня Россия продолжает борьбу с фашизмом и экстремизмом. Ежегодно страна вносит на рассмотрение Генеральной ассамблеи ООН резолюцию о противодействии распространению и пропаганде нацизма.
