The love of geography unites people of different professions and ages. Pupils and pensioners, doctors and teachers, famous actors and singers, athletes and TV presenters from year to year participate in dictation to gain new knowledge about the most interesting country of Russia. This year we again invite everyone to take a geographical dictation. Test paper is available in English and Russian languages.

The terms of participation:
- the dictation will take place on the territory of the Russian House in Kolkata at the address: 3 Gorky Terrace, Kolkata 700099;
- in order to register, send us an email with full name to [email protected] before Saturday, 29 October;
- the schedule of the site on October, 30th:
11:00-12:00 - arrival and registration of participants and issuance of forms;
12:00-12:15 - quiz, briefing on filling out forms;
12:15-13:00 - writing test paper; 13:00-13:10 - collection of completed forms and distributionof certificates for participation;
- access to the territory of the organization and participation are free.

Geographical Dictation premieres in Kolkata
Today, Russian House in Kolkata joined the international educational campaign "Geographical Dictation" and held it on site for the first time.
Sergey Shushin, head of the Russian House in Kolkata, delivered the welcome address and conveyed his best wishes to the participants of the Geographical Dictation.
For the first time, the Geographical Dictation was held in 2015 at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society.
Love for geography unites people of different professions and ages. Traditionally, cosmonauts working on the International Space Station and employees of the Antarctic Station take part in the event too. Their video address was demonstrated on the site.
In person and remotely at all sites in all countries, the campaign will begin on October 30 at 12:00 local time. From 14:00 on October 30 to 14:00 on November 10, Moscow time, it will be possible to write an online version of the dictation on the website https://dictant.rgo.ru/
