๐Dr. S Soundararaja Perumal, Executive director of Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre mentioned at the inauguration: โWe all know that India and Russia are time tested friends. It is Russia who fully supported Indian Space programmes in the beginning stage. It has already become a good tradition to celebrate Cosmonautics Day together with Russian House in Chennai. And I am very glad to see many children and students who have come today to learn interesting facts and new information about Space explorationโ.
๐About the perspectives of Indo-Russian cooperation in Space Industry said Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Oleg Avdeev: โThe world is going through a serious transformation today, and along with the challenges that this period brings, new opportunities are opening up. ๐๐ฎ๐ณOnward, SUNward: On Indiaโs mission to study the sun! Congratulations! ๐
๐Indiaโs first space mission dedicated to studying the sun, in the form of a spacecraft named Aditya-L1, was successfully launched!
๐Aditya-L1 will study the sun in multiple wavelengths. Even though it is the star closest to the Earth and has been and continues to be observed by a panoply of telescopes, the sun still holds many secrets. Some of them are simply waiting to be discovered.
๐In the next four or so months, Aditya-L1 will travel to the L1 Lagrange point, a point 1.5 million kilometres from the earth, where the spacecraft will have an unobstructed view of the star while it stays in a halo orbit around the point.
