The world's longest sled dog race, held in Kamchatka, is one of the toughest challenges on Earth.
The Beringia Sled Dog Race is an annual month-long dog sled race covering 2,100 kilometers through the snowy wilderness of Kamchatka. It tests the limits of both humans and canines in extreme temperatures and stunning yet unforgiving landscapes. Fifteen sled drivers and their dogs will tackle approximately 100 kilometers per day, navigating along the Bering Sea and deep into the Kamchatka Peninsula. The race poses unpredictable challenges as weather conditions can rapidly change from calm to severe.
