According to the 2010 census, over 200,000 Tajiks live in Russia. Most of them are in Moscow and large Russian cities. Even among urban life in Russia, Tajiks strive to preserve the foundations of their culture. It is noticeable at least in clothes: the national costume of Tajiks in our time has certainly undergone changes, but skullcaps, bloomers and shirts of various colors are still loved by these people, and even by young people. Tajiks successfully combine traditional jewelry with modern ones. Women wear necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings - silver, a little massive. At different times, Tajik men also wore jewelry, but today this is not accepted. But among them, Tajik national sports remain popular: kushti - a kind of wrestling, chovgan - an equestrian sports team game reminiscent of polo, and buzkashi - goat-fighting (riders fight for a goat carcass). Tajiks also carefully preserve folk myths. People from different regions brought their art forms and subjects to Russia, and this diversity speaks of the richness of Tajik culture. Puppet shows, plays, epics and dances have been preserved since ancient times and today remain a popular part of the cultural traditions of Tajiks in Russia.
