On April 18th, the Russian House in Dar Es Salaam organized the First Film Festival of modern Military cinema, dedicated to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War over the Fascist invaders.
The opening of the film festival attracted more than 250 guests and was one of the most striking cultural events in the country.

The film Festival was opened by Ambassador of the Russian Federation Hon. Andrey Avetisyan, the Executive Secretary of the Tanzania Film Board Dr. Kiagho Kilonzo, and a Representative of the Executive Secretary of the National Arts Council.
The first film to be screened was “The Battle for Sevastopol”, which made a vivid impression on the local public, as at its end lively discussions ensued among the creative elite, both from the point of view of cinematography and historical setting.

🎞 The festival will last until May 9th. The Festival program will include contemporary feature films as well as documentaries dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, in Russian language - with English subtitles.
In order to form a holistic perception of such a distant historical event, for the local public, as the Second World War and the heroic struggle of the Soviet people for freedom and independence, the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tanzania organized a photo exhibition. Students of Swahili language from the Institute of Asian and African Countries Studies of the Moscow State University, were guides at this exhibition. Students from the Moscow University regularly undergo their practical training at the Russian House in Dar es Salaam.

🎞 В Танзании продолжается Фестиваль современного российского военного кино
С 18 апреля по 9 мая в Русском Доме в Дар-Эс-Саламе проходит Первый кинофестиваль современного военного кино, приуроченный ко Дню Победы в Великой Отечественной войне над фашистскими захватчиками.
В программу Фестиваля включены экскурсии по выставке ко Дню Победы, тематические лекции российских дипломатов и просмотр современных художественных и документальных фильмов, посвященных Великой Отечественной войне, на русском языке с английскими субтитрами.
🎬 25 апреля состоялся показ художественного фильма "Звезда" о группе разведчиков - молодых ребятах, отправленных в 1944 году в тыл врага для выполнения важного задания.
В рамках Кинофестиваля картина "Звезда" стала второй и снова собрала полный зал гостей. Посмотреть фильм о войне пришли более 180 танзанийцев, среди которых студенты Центра дипломатических отношений и Университета Дар-эс-Салама, слушатели курсов русского языка, соотечественники и танзанийцы-выпускники российских и советских вузов.
🇷🇺 С приветственной речью на суахили перед гостями выступил российский дипломат Георгий Главатских, отметивший важность сохранения исторической памяти.
🎞 Следующие кинопоказы состоятся 2 мая, 7 мая и 8 мая в 6 часов вечера.

В Танзании стартовала международная акция «Окна Победы».
✅Цель — сохранение исторической памяти и правды, а также передача молодому поколению традиций чествования советских воинов, отстоявших свободу своей Родины.
Участники акции тематически оформляют окна своих квартир, домов, учебных заведений и других учреждений с помощью рисунков, картинок, фотографий и надписей, посвященных Победе многонационального советского народа над фашизмом.

В Танзании акция началась 18 апреля во время открытия первого кинофестиваля современного военного кино, приуроченного ко Дню Победы. Большой зал Русского Дома был полон танзанийцами с ленточками.
На уроках русского языка, студентам рассказали об истории и значении Георгиевской ленточки.
Ленточку, символизирующую Победу над фашизмом, можно получить у сотрудников Русского Дома.

Tanzania among the spectators of the Parade on Red Square!
📺 In the morning of Victory Day, all the friends of the Russian House in Dar es Salaam gathered to watch the Parade in Moscow together.
The guests of honor of the event are the Ambassador of Russia to Tanzania A.L. Avetisyan, the Head of the Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Tanzania L.V.Sukhanov and our many friends from both Russia and friendly countries.
🖼🖤🧡 At the entrance to the Russian House, visitors were able to receive a St. George ribbon and get acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to Victory Day.
We listened with great attention to the address of Russian President Vladimir Putin, congratulated each other, our loved ones and relatives, and wished each other a happy and peaceful sky above our heads. It is now more important than ever to rally in the face of a new threat," the guests of the event said.
