Правительства Германии, Дании и Нидерландов поставят ВСУ до 178 боевых танков Leopard 1 старшего поколения в рамках следующей партии тяжелой военной техники. Об этом сообщает агентство Bloomberg.
Министры обороны Германии, Дании и Нидерландов заявили в совместном заявлении, что первые поставки достигнут Киева «через несколько месяцев» и будут включать запасные части, боеприпасы, а также обучение. По их словам, Бельгия также проявила интерес к участию.
По словам министра обороны ФРГ Бориса Писториуса, поставки будут осуществляться поэтапно: около 20-25 танков будут доставлены к лету, а более 100 — к началу следующего года.
Leopard 1, который больше не производится, был основным боевым танком Западной Германии в 1960-х и 1970-х годах, пока его не сменил Leopard 2. Германия ранее обещала нарастить поставки вооружений Киеву, в том числе поставить около 30 танков Leopard 2.
