Am I using it wrong?

After The Great Trackball Journey of 2020™, I learned I do not like thumb balls. I only like finger balls.

But way I use the ball is with the tips of my fingers. So, any button above the ball are kind of awkward to use. That led to massive problems with my L-Trac and the scroll dial on the top of the trackball.

I've seen other people use a finger ball with their palm or the very bottom of their fingers, so they have easier access to the top buttons.

I'm curious how other people use their finger trackballs: tips of the finger, palm, or middle/bottom of fingers.

On-board memory for the TB900 Kensington?

Is the upcoming trackball from Kensington will have on-board memory? I will use it with a company provided equipment. Installation of software is blocked.

I recently switched to trackballs and started with Nulea M512 and happy with it. However, I already planning to upgrade due to the stiction I'm currently experiencing.

Any upgrade recommendations? Or Stiction solution with my M512? Thank you.

Contour RollerMouse Pro drivers are just a PITA

I've been a RollerMouse user for 5+ years and honestly love it. At this point, I'm so used to it that I can't imagine going back to a regular mouse.

However, after upgrading to macOS Sequoia (currently 15.7.4), it's become almost unusable.

Has anyone managed to get a RollerMouse working reliably with the official Contour drivers (or any alternative drivers)?

Here's what happens:

The RollerMouse works fine for a few minutes.
Then, seemingly at random, the driver "resets."
My custom settings stop working (most importantly, middle-click and scrolling speed). Ah, right, copy/paste buttons never worked (just a wild guess, but that may be because I use the Dworak layout)
The only way to get it working again is to reopen the Contour app, after which it works... for another few minutes before breaking again.

I've tried reinstalling the drivers, but the behavior is the same. I tried USB Overdrive. I tried no drivers at all.

Has anyone found a stable solution, or is this simply a compatibility issue with Sequoia?

Does the USB-C Magic Trackpad have the same click feel as newer MacBooks?

I recently bought a used Magic Trackpad 2, and the haptic click feels noticeably heavier than the built-in trackpad on my M2 MacBook Air.

I’m considering buying the latest Magic Trackpad (USB-C), but does its click feel any closer to the trackpad on newer MacBooks? Or does it basically feel the same as the Magic Trackpad 2?

If anyone has compared them directly, I’d really appreciate your thoughts.
