The thing is, the first man, according to the description, was an abvious autocratic leader, whereas the second one was a facilitator. I suppose they kind of fit the bill. #activities_ideas

MY FIRST CONFERENCE AS A SPEAKER
Having calmed down from the stress of presenting, I guess it’s high time to share some insights from the Trendy English 11 Conference.
I was once again reminded about how awesome English teachers are. Even though I am not a blogger or a school owner like many of the speakers, the feedback was amazing. I suffer from a serious case of the imposter syndrome (like many of us), so just the fact that the audience listened was astonishing.
At first I was shaking in my boots, literally, but after jumping into a mountain river, the only thing you can do is to go with the flow, which I did.
The support from my colleagues was staggering. These amazing people supported me every step of the way! I love them so much, it’s unimaginable!
Immediately after the conference I was sure that I would be back as the jitters are a legal drug indeed.
However, now I am not so sure. Maybe it’s that pesky imposter syndrome speaking, but finding a niche is going to be really hard. And I would probably have to make a real blog or something, which is bothersome.
At the moment, I think it’s more trouble than it’s worth. But my opinion is fickle, so I might and probably will change my mind a hundred times.
I got a mug and some nice tea out of it! And invaluable experience of course.

Here is a worksheet about managing money, maybe someone can use it with their students :) The last page contains instructions, but in Russian as it was done for an "open class" people who don't speak English could visit. The dialogue was written by me, but it was dubbed by an AI. In the end, you could ask your students if they noticed anything strange in the recording. My class turned out ot be super fun! #work

As a person who cannot live without music, I've managed to collect a whooping 2k songs on Yandex Music (I don't really know if it's normal or not, but I don't think so 😅)... Here is a small part of what I usually listen to. Maybe you'll find something up your alley? The song styles are absolutely random, ranging from numetal to upbeat swing :) beware, some are explicit 🙊 or downright crazy 🤯 https://music.yandex.ru/users/juliebondarchuk365/playlists/1007?utm_medium=copy_link
Saw a very interesting book one of my colleagues recommended. It's a very good read, extremely engaging and very thought-provoking. #burnout_resistance

I used to be very proud of my undisputable ability to multitask and be always busy, now I am proud of myself for dedicating time (note: not finding, not grasping, not managing to get!) to anything that strikes my fancy, be it a short walk in the forest next to my workspace before work or half a Sunday to read a book. Loving and noticing every free moment is something everyone, in my humble opinion, should attempt to do. #burnout_resistance

I've been really interested in the concept of happiness and what makes people happy. Even if you are a teacher, it would definitely be good for you to do the HW task 😊 #activities_ideas #lesson_materials #B2

These last two days were a huge challenge for me. My colleagues and I conducted a two-day training for novice teachers. I covered 2 sessions on Classroom Management (though the auto correct offered the word Madness instead which is quite applicable) and Teaching Productive Skills that lasted two hours each.
The first day I was shaking in my proverbial boots and was exhausted at the end. But happy, so happy!
The second day I was much more self-assured and enjoyed sharing my knowledge immensely.
Thanks to our teacher trainers I got the pleasure of watching new techniques be implemented immediately. We had one four students, but each of them was amazing!
I am ecstatic that I got this opportunity, and very proud of myself 💜🧡💙 #work

Here I am despairing my inability to gather my wits to do my HW for the "How languages are learnt" course when in comes my mother-in-law carrying a freshly brewed cup of coffee for me...
Sooo nice!
When you are a mom yourself, living far away from any mother figures, the appreciation for care skyrockets.
I am truly blessed. #methodology

I might offend someone with this post, but I kind of have to share. My opinion will definitely be an unpopular one, but still.
Yesterday, one more time, I stumbled upon a post entitled something like: An EFL teacher should earn not less than 3000R a lesson. The argumentation behind this statement is quite sound: we do spend a lot of time on preparation, we do assign HW and then check it, we DO provide feedback. That’s all true… But…
Russia is not such a prosperous country these days, frankly speaking. People in most cases do not earn enough to spend 24000R a month for English classes and there is no point in having a class once a week, especially for lower levels. This sum is a very nice salary in some places. Even in big towns like Krasnodar, 24000R is my mother-in-law’s salary who is a primary school teacher. Personally, I would be leery of paying that much money for my own classes! #work
