A few days late, but as a Dodgers fan, I wanted to thank the Hololive community and Hololivers for welcoming a normie baseball fan who knew absolutely nothing about VTubers over two years ago.
Had a few days to gather my thoughts and recover from the end of the Dodgers season. As sad as I am about the way our season ended...one takeaway I got from the title runs in 2024 and 2025 was finding such a wonderful community and great people! A few years back, I made a post on my old account talking about how I was a Dodgers fan who knew absolutely nothing about Hololive, but wanted to learn to get ready for the then-upcoming collab in 2024. Little did I know I was about to go down the rabbit hole....
After attending the 2024 game, I slowly started getting hooked. I started watching Fuwamoco (and I hope Mococo is doing okay 🙏🏻). I started listening to Holo songs and covers on Spotify and YouTube. Followed Gawr Gura up to her graduation. Attended the 2025 game and the 2026 concert at Anime Expo. Seeing how weebs and normie baseball fans mingled made me so happy. I remember playing catch outside the venue after the 2026 concert.
And of course, seeing the buff that Hololive gave to my boys in blue as we finally won our first title in a full season since 1988 and repeated the following year, I can't express my eternal gratitude to Gura, Suisei, Pekora, Bijou, Irys, and Ina'nis.
Despite our season ending the way it did, it can never take away the wonderful people and great community I met over the years. I can't express my gratitude to you all.
See you guys next season (if there isn't a lockout), and let's go Dodgers!
(P.S. Dodgers management, if you are reading this, you know what to do for next season's collab! Clearly the Hololive buff is real, and the fact we didn't do a collab this year led to us not winning the World Series. Bring back the collab so we can win it all again!)
