I used to think my job was different and that they actually cared about me. Then I got fired with no warning.

I wasn't stealing. I wasn't harassing anyone. I didn't have any write ups. I never got any warnings.

The reason I got was "I wasn't on board with the changes happening at the company." I'm not sure what that means, even after trying to digest it for several weeks. There wasn't anything significant changing that a grunt in the back needed to care about.

I worked my ass off for this place for two years, gave them holidays, weekends and so many 10+hour days and I was basically thrown out with the trash.

My boss was a socially progressive millennial who started out saying she wanted to be a good boss who cares about her employees.

I live in the U.S., of course, in an at will state. So this is legal. But it's not right.

My boss forwards my work to the exec team with her name in the file name

Like not not on the slides. she leaves my name on the slides - that's what she'd point at if i ever raised it.

the file name, every single time. Q3_Analysis_[hername\]_final.pdf and the covering email is always sharing the analysis. Never sharing X's analysis. never X put this together, just sharing it implying that she did all of it.

I only clocked it because an exec replied-all to thank her and she wrote back happy to dig into it further if useful. She cannot dig into it further, she does not know how the model works, i built the model.

Then last month she asked me to make the next one look a bit sharper. So i rebuilt it in gamma, and it came out good, better than anything I'd have made by hand in the time. she forwarded it within four minutes with new file name and smiley face.

So the better and faster it gets, the quicker it leaves with someone else's name on it.

Is there a version of raising this that doesn't end with me being the difficult one

I Sent a Resignation Message to My Boss, He Blocked Me Right Away

Few days ago, I sent a resignation letter to my HR Saying I'll quit next month. He read it right away but suddenly he blocked me in Telegram and WhatsApp. He kicked me out of the Telegram and WhatsApp group.


No contact at all from work even to this day. I didn't come work, because I'm scared, and I'm assuming it's an "Ok, then get out of my fucking face" act.


My co-worker told me, there is no replacement, the clinic manager even asked if I'm sick (Though she's not contacting me).

I've only been working there for 2 months but damn I hated it.

It's just toxic, the pay always late, so on and so on.


I've been in the workforce for almost 15 years, and this kind of thing never happened to me.


Kinda regretting that I left my previous job just for a higher pay.


I resigned 4 times in my whole career before this, all of them were nice:


"I'm sorry to hear that, is there anything we can do to change your mind, but of course, it's your decision and we will respect that." Kind of shit


But this, the fifth time is wild🤣

My manager scheduled a “team morale meeting” at 7:30am because morale is apparently too low

We normally start at 9. Yesterday my manager sends a calendar invite for 7:30am Friday called “Rebuilding Team Energy” and attendance is mandatory.

The reason morale is bad is because two people quit, nobody replaced them, and the rest of us have been doing their work for about 3 months. Raises were “not in the budget” this year too, what a surprise.

I asked if the meeting counts as work time and he replied this is an investment in the team. Made sure to let them know as kindly as possible that that's the worst idea I've ever heard.

Thankfully I’m not terrified of pushing back anymore, but I wanna know how management arrives at “people are exhausted, lets make them wake up earlier.”

Full remote boss wants me full time RTO

What an absolute shit show today was.

I work hybrid (4-days in the office) for a corporation. My boss is fully remote in another state. Today, he demanded I come in 5-days a week instead. I asked him what changed, he said he needed me full time in office.

I explained I have a child I need to pick up form school on early dismissal days. He doesn’t have a family, and said, “Well, that’s your problem to figure out. Your child doesn’t work for the company, you do.”

I’m assuming this is just his way to get me to quit so he doesn’t need to fire me.

God, I hate corporations.
