Update from last post
Turns out my antivirus was the issue as we uninstalled it and my internet speed skyrocketed. We couldn't find any corrupted files that McAfee was trying to constantly pull from nor did I get notified about anything when I still had the antivirus subscription. There was nothing inherently bad with my PC as I never went on any bad or downloaded malicious stuff. If anyone has the same issue in the future and your antivirus is McAfee, might want to uninstall it and see what happens if you can't find anything. So the people who said it was malware was pretty much right

Need a sanity check before I blow too much money on this build
Been going back and forth on parts for like 2 weeks now and every time I think I’m done I open another reddit thread and change something again.
Current PC is a Ryzen 3600 + 3060 Ti build and it’s honestly still fine most of the time, but Tarkov and Cyberpunk have been making it feel ancient lately. Helldivers too once things get chaotic. I play at 1440p and I’m getting kinda tired of constantly tweaking settings trying to stay above 60fps.
This is where I’m at currently:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
MB: MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi
GPU: Sapphire Pulse 7900 XT 20GB
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
PSU: Corsair RM850x 850w
Case: Fractal North
I KNOW the Samsung drive is probably overpriced for gaming before someone says it lol. Also not fully sold on AMD GPU yet because every friend I have keeps telling me to just get a 4080 Super and stop thinking about it, but where I live the pricing difference is pretty brutal.
Also been wasting time looking at random desk tech lately and found the CyboPal ONE robotic arm thing which looks kinda fun but then its attached to the monitor itself so I'll need to budget accordingly.
Couple things I’m unsure about:
is the 7800X3D still worth buying this late or should I just wait at this point
anyone regret going 7900 XT over Nvidia?
850w enough or am I gonna end up replacing it later anyway?
Trying really hard not to turn this into a $3k+ build for no reason. Please guide!
