I was gifted a MacBook Pro for college. I am majoring in accounting.

Should I try and exchange the Mac for something else or can I just use the parallels thing and it’ll be the same? How much different really is it from a windows computer? I heard it was harder but not sure actually how much different it is. If I exchange should I go for a surface pro or what?

Update from last post

Turns out my antivirus was the issue as we uninstalled it and my internet speed skyrocketed. We couldn't find any corrupted files that McAfee was trying to constantly pull from nor did I get notified about anything when I still had the antivirus subscription. There was nothing inherently bad with my PC as I never went on any bad or downloaded malicious stuff. If anyone has the same issue in the future and your antivirus is McAfee, might want to uninstall it and see what happens if you can't find anything. So the people who said it was malware was pretty much right
