If you think about it, Arknights is actually Gurren Lagann
Ancient human (Oracle) living underground (Sarcophagus buried in Rim Biliton) is awakened and taken to the surface of a desolate wasteland planet (Terra) inhabited by beast people (Terrans).
They then use ancient technology they dont understand (precursor tech) to go around the planet in a giant landship (Rhodes Island) and collect allies (operators) that they use to topple the evil beastman king (various ruling classes of Terra). Along the way they get their mentor figure killed (Teresa) and get close with an artifical beastperson (Kal'tsit).
It then skips forward into the future (Endfield) where they have made a sort of functional civilization that has advanced technology (civilization band).
They are attacked by mysterious enemies they dont understand (Aether). So go they to space in a giant battleship (Dijang) and end up fighting an extradimensional entity (Observers) who wiped out ancient humanity (precursors).
