3️⃣ Dormitory information
Our lovely question)
All international students are provided with a place in the dormitory at our university.

Sometimes international students choose to rent an apartment. Of course, the apartment has more advantages, but the rental cost is also high.

SPbPU campus dormitories:
▫️ 2, 3 or 4 persons in a room
▫️ entrance pass for your safety
▫️ access control systems and emergency voice alarm communication systems in all buildings
▫️ interior and exterior video surveillance systems

▶️ More about the dorm https://t.iss.one/admissionpolytech/7

4️⃣ PCR test in Russia
❗️For Belarus citizens arriving in Russia, mandatory PCR testing for coronavirus is canceled, for citizens of other countries it remains

Did you know that Polytech has its own organ?

There are around 140 Johannus organs in Russia and 15 in St. Petersburg. But only some of them, including the organ in the White Hall, are made by the unique master Dirk Kuydis, who has dedicated over 50 years to this work. Learn more about it:

✔️ https://cutt.ly/XnGjsaZ

Twice each month the world’s and Russia’s finest organists present an anthology of organ music at the White Hall. In the new 2021-2022 season, audiences will experience unusual duets between the organ and the thermo-wax, duduk, Japanese Shakuhachi classical flute, and glass harp.

Have you seen the fountain «We» next to the 1st educational building? Here is its story. 🔽

Valentine Shalipina, student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, made a special project for Fountain «We» as a present for 110s Anniversary of Polytech.

The structure of the fountain «We» consists of 7 figures: each one stands for special shade of our mood. Construction was made of cement and mansurov granite, and the figures were made of steel.

Next to the fountain, there is a monument to the student of Polytech in special uniform from 1900s. The sculpture of young man is sitting on a bench since 24th April 2010. It personifies the collective image of students from the 20th century.

In modern Polytech students’ life, many ceremonies are connected with the monument. Everyone believes that you need to sit with the statue on a bench for successful exams passing.

And do you like to spend time here?

Thanks to @elena_m1005 for the great picture! 💚

How can a foreign graduate find a job in the Russian Federation?

It was this question that our friend Issa Shaabo from RUDN University asked himself and decided to organize a whole forum to get an answer to it and share it with us

Interregional forum of foreign students of Russian universities "Build your career" - a project that received grant support from Rosmolodezh

The forum program includes the work of sections in the most popular areas of training: medicine, law, information technology, engineering specialties, architecture, etc.

Within the sections, students:

• find out what are the current requirements of the Russian labor market;
• communicate with employment specialists;
• meet with representatives of potential employers;
• get the opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge with successful foreign graduates

September 2022 promises to be productive 🔥

• узнают каковы на данный момент требования рынка труда РФ;
• пообщаются со специалистами по трудоустройству;
• познакомятся с представителями потенциальных работодателей;
• получат возможность обменяться опытом и знаниями с успешными иностранными выпускниками

Сентябрь 2022 года обещает быть продуктивным 🔥

Ultimate summer vibes at Polytechnic Park 😍

Polytechnic Park was originally designed as a beautiful frame for the University campus. It was created to build a comfortable atmosphere in a place where students and teachers of the university studied and lived. Today, the park is preserved almost in its original form and is a historical and cultural heritage site with a hundred-year history, protected by the government.

Walking through the alleys of the park you can not only enjoy the fresh air, birdsong, the silence of the forest, but also find local attractions like a Water Supply Tower or many of the monuments. As you walk past the Main Polytechnic University Building, you can even hear the sounds of classical music! 🎶

Many different trees are planted in the park: birch, rowan, maple, pine, lilac… They give a pleasant coolness to visitors in summer ☀️ and create a fabulous atmosphere in winter ❄️

➡️ Do you want to stroll through the Park?
