Pulled the garden out of the back end of the coop as well as the water feature. Will soon add that smaller IBC on top of the larger one now in its spot then add a pump as a water feature that grows lots of stuff for the chooks like duck weed and azolla. Also along the back wall I'm going to build a 7 bay garden bed covered in skylight I got for free, with easy access doors for each throw seed in each day opening the next for them to smash and rinse repeat.
Entire chicken coop is now shade clothed including gardens and a strip along the back side for that Arvo sun. Just need to add more rocks to the shade cloth and come back through with some wire to sew it all together better. Cable ties are fine for now hahaha
Used the left over shade cloth to also finish the small garden on the other side. Got some great growth cranking in this garden
This other side garden is doing shit, the soil fucking sucks and is rock hard due to the clay content and nothing really takes off so I'm going to come back through and dig large row channels out and fill them with better soil and get it all cranking again.
Also got a heap of better sprinklers, mini wobblers mostly, so I'll get those installed too

Another 53 ish eggs into the incubator. Seeing how many chicks I get from this. Usually get around 25-28. But you have deaths and also 50/50 male to female. Think I have 16 still alive from the last round of hatchings.
So possibility of 8 males becoming roasts.
I need around 44 more roasts to supply myself with one roast per week each year. Just cycling now to see how many runs I need to do to make it to that approximate number.
Simple math says 7-8 runs of the incubator a year. But I may have less or more deaths per cycle each time but that's what I am figuring out now and I'll share my data once I know

Rest of the bush poles have been buried in the ground! Entirety of one side of the banks now able to be fenced as well as three positions added for gates and bridges (simple design, one each end and one in the middle no need to over think it hahaha)
