A little naive in its execution, but clearly bold in its architecture and the fact of its construction, the modern temple in Hutora, Cherkasy Region (in the Ukraine) is a striking example of neo-Russian fantasy, combining XVII century Uzorochye, Kremlin or monastery towers, the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, and even Christ the Saviour Cathedral. There is also room here for Western Russian details, in the form of the quatrefoil structure of the church itself.
