Microsoft today introduced Majorana 1, a groundbreaking quantum chip designed with a revolutionary Topological Core architecture. This innovation could bring us closer to quantum computers capable of solving large-scale, real-world problems in just a few years instead of decades.

It leverages the world’s first topoconductor, a breakthrough type of material that can observe and control Majorana particles to produce more reliable and scalable qubits — the building blocks for quantum computers.
