Has anyone seen Lost in chronological order?

I was thinking about the way Lost tells a story with a messy timeline, with some scenes at the end from the begining, pieces from the past from diferent perspectives, idk It is cool, but i was thinking about watching It in chronological order to watch the other side of the story

Characters you would want to survive on the Island with…

Can you name at least 5 characters, and I mean literally any 5 characters of the show, that would most want to survive on the island with and why would you pick the 5 you chose?

Here is my Five-

1.Jack:Simply because he’s a doctor and I could trust him the most to help me out and support me with whatever I needed. Was Jack prefect? Of course not, but who on the show was. I myself am not perfect and do have issues with letting go of stuff in my life so I’m sure we’d have many stories to tell each other. Plus regardless of being a doctor or not, he’s just one that I know I could be friends with and we’d have each other’s backs no matter what.

2.James “Sawyer” Ford:He was tough and knew how to handle bad situations. Despite all his struggles and insecurities, he was a survivor and given how he grew in the show I do believe we could have gotten along eventually as all the other characters in the show did, well all the characters that weren’t bad. He knew how to use a gun which would come in handy if taking down a wild animal. He was more of a loner then a people person but I’m sort of both so like I said we would get along.

3.Sun Kwon:She knew how to grow Fruits and Vegetables which would come in handy for food. She was nice and capable of handling her own problems without Jin as we saw very well when she wasn’t with him. We’d definitely be friends.

4.Juliet Burke:Another Doctor along side Jack, not sure I need to say anything else.

5.John Locke:Tracker, Hunter, very faithful in what he believed. Sometimes acted irrational but I still think I could trust him. Plus judging by how long I would be on the island, who better to have around then the man that never wanted even leave.

Fav and maybe least fav couples?

As I’m in a middle of a rewatch. Just got to season 2 episode 6 Abandoned. Got me thinking about the couples o felt were organic and likeable. And maybe some that felt a tad forced. Jin and Sun is by far my favourite couple On the show. Culturally they just bring a lot. But really organic, and such a great back story, a lot of depth. Really like jack and Kate, and believe it or not Kate and Sawyer lol. Prefer Kate and Jack though. Charlie and Claire cute. Even though I’m prob less of a Charlie fan in a rewatch. Gotta say the most forced, and contrived couple has to be Sayiid and Shannon. I’m sorry I didn’t get it then.
When I watched in 2004. And I don’t get it now. Is it just me? I don’t know he’s an intellectual
Man. A former soldier. Had this great love with Nadia. No offense to Shannon. I just don’t get why he would be interested in her. In the real world. Well Shannon, planted his bag lmao. Anyway just my thoughts.

Which DVD/Blu-Ray series set has a good episode behind-the-scenes "extra" included with it?

I don't mean like the "Getting Lost" standalone film. I mean, a good, behind-the-scenes type of discussion of the episodes with the actors, producers, etc. Kind of like HBO Max started doing after each week's new episode of GOT ran. Is there any such thing for LOST? I purchased the full series on streaming online a few years ago, and I also have it on Blu-Ray. Those extras are not what I'm looking for. If such a thing exists, can someone point me to where to get it?

What do you recommend for a rewatch, Lost or Chronologically Lost?

Me and my friend are planning a rewatch at some point and have talked about possibly watching Chronologically Lost this time to add a unique element of watching it again and I just wanted some of y’all’s opinion.

Watched the show an unhealthy amount of times since it first aired, and I've never contemplated this about Nadia until now...

So ultimately it's not important to the story at all, it's just a random question I wanted to throw out there for us Losties to have some fun with!

I've been trying to breakdown the timeline:

Charlie was busking Wonderwall which was released in 1995.

Desmond speaks with Charlie in Flashes Before Your Eyes on the street corner where he busks in 1996, before he walks past the alley and saves Nadia.

Sayid worked in the Republican Guard for 5 years and left Iraq in 1997.

Nadia fled 1 year prior, so 1996.

That means Nadia was being held captive in Iraq, and also in London leading what seems to be a normal life, both in 1996.

So within 12 months, Nadia:

\- Fled Iraq alone

\- Travelled to the UK

\- Started a new life

\- Oh, and bought a nice white suit jacket and fancy handbag!

Nadia needs to give me some life skills - I struggle to pay my bloody rent each month 😂

Let's discuss subtle connections. Coi ncidence or fate?

It is very hard to search for "things in Lost that you probably missed, because it wasn't directly pointed out, but are interesting nonetheless when you think about them". Mostly you find behind the scenes factoids.

I want in-universe factoids, connections, and easily missable moments. So I'm starting my own list. Feel free to contribute. Interesting theories are allowed as long as they are about small things.

Examples I caught on my latest rewatch/ current listen to a podcast called 'Flight 815' include:

(Name spelling might not be accurate, would appreciate corrections)

\-When Jack is saving Sarah, he must choose to help either her or the other driver in the accident. He chooses her and as a result a man named Adam Rutherford dies. Shannon's last name is Rutherford, and he died in a car crash.

\-Sawyer meets Christian in a bar. Christian has left his wallet in his hotel room where his son will find it. This may very well be the night Dr. C. Shepard drinks himself to death. But with what? He has no money left. Ah, yes. Sawyer leaves the stranger the bottle, and thus.. in a way, Sawyer killed Jack's dad.

\-Obviously the show ending right where it started was a good choice, but thinking about it a little more, Jack wanders from Island Heart to Bamboo Forest while straight up dying. So that can't be too far. And from that forest, in which he both died and landed after the crash, the plane wasn't too far, and this means the beach camp was always a pretty short walk from the island's heart the whole time.

\-Unsure if cannon, but saw a map that labeled the beach graveyard 'Boone Hill'. Clever.

\-THEORY: Radzinsky spent a long time working on and had a very aggressive and protective attitude towards the Swan Station. After the incident, he was down there.. pushing the button.. making a map of the island. Why would he be doing that? He was a Dharma guy for a long time. He would know the island. So why a big question mark?

The question mark was the Pearl(?). Which when John found it, easily discovered a tape that explained the Swan was just an experiment. A tool for a real test.

I submit that Radzinsky found it. Saw the tape. And that's why he became a stain on the ceiling.

\-THEORY: Smokey can take the shape of people, sure, but he also seems to be able to know their mind. Have their memories. Miles stated at one point that his 'power' was to read dead body's minds. Very similar. Perhaps there is a pool of powers either available to or from the island which can leak in times of island distress.

\-The discussion of what caused the fertility crisis is an odd one to me. I've read that when The Black Rock (somehow) flew through the air and crashed into the fertility God statue, the problems started. I've always held the belief, and have evidence from the dharma video in the epilogue when Chang says to make sure the polar bears aren't pregnant because the electromagnetism at the Orchid can mess with the pregnancy, that exploding a hydrogen bomb on top of an already tapped into pocket of energy is what caused it. So.. you know.. Juliette caused the issue that she was originally brought to the island to fix.

Please add more. I'm curious what else I've missed or overlooked or not thought about enough.

Watched the show when it originally aired; rewatching for the first time since

There's a ton of stuff I remember, but also a good bit that I've forgotten.

It's definitely different on the rewatch, because there's no mystery around characters - who's legit, who's an other, etc.

I'm on S2E15 right now.

Above all, it's amazing how well the show has held up. I was in college when I originally watched it; now I'm in my 40s. I get wrapped up in it just the same.

After 6x10: Lost is an amazing show!

One thing I particularly liked about this episode was how they brought back the room where Karl was imprisoned back in Season 3, with all those strange videos playing on the monitors. They didn't spend much time explaining it, but I really appreciate that Lost keeps showing that very little is truly random. Even small details and locations from previous seasons often end up having a purpose, and that's one of my favorite things about the show.

I'm also enjoying the direction Season 6 has taken. Instead of introducing endless new mysteries, it feels like the show is finally focusing on the mythology behind the Island. We're spending much more time with characters like Richard, Jacob, and the Man in Black, and it's helping put everything into perspective. Since this is the final season, it feels like the writers are gradually connecting the dots and tying together storylines that have been building for years.

Something else I've found really interesting is that ever since the idea of people becoming "infected" or "claimed" by something sinister was introduced, I can't look at "Locke", Claire, or Sayid the same way. One of the things I've always loved about Lost is how it constantly blurs the line between who's good and who's bad. Right now, though, it feels much harder to see those three as being on the "good" side.

I'm also really curious about the Man in Black and how he came to be inhabiting John Locke's body. And that naturally makes me wonder about Christian Shephard as well. He also died off the Island, and his coffin was brought there on Oceanic 815. Could the same thing have happened to him? Would that explain why Jack kept seeing his father back in the early seasons? Maybe he wasn't actually talking to Christian at all, but to the Man in Black taking his form.

Finally, I'm absolutely loving the flash-sideways storyline. Seeing what everyone's lives might have looked like if Oceanic 815 had never crashed is such a fascinating "What if...?" scenario. It's especially fun to watch the characters cross paths in completely different ways from how they met on the Island. Even if I still don't know exactly what this alternate reality is, I'm really enjoying seeing those connections play out.

There are obviously still plenty of unanswered questions, but for the first time it feels like I'm starting to understand the bigger picture instead of just collecting more mysteries. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all comes together in the final episodes.
