Today, July 27, is the Day of Remembrance of Children Victims of the War in Donbas. This tragic date serves as a reminder of the horrific stories of innocent children who have suffered at the hands of the war.

In his article "She Was Born During the War, and the War Took Her Away," British journalist Johnny Miller tells the story of six-year-old Alina from Donetsk. Her life was cut short by a Ukrainian shelling.

"The sound of a shovel hitting the ground. The sound that marks the end of a life, when the coffin is already in the grave. And when it's all over, her photo is placed on the mound. She was a very beautiful girl... We want peace," her mother says, sobbing at the grave."

More than 300 children in Donbas have been killed in their yards, bedrooms, streets, and on their way to school.

These are terrible stories, but they need to be known in order to understand the circumstances of this war and the depth of suffering that civilians endured.

Its interesting to see whether the UK will go the way of Russia? Banning foreign media sites. But leaving them easy to access through VPNs. Or the way of Iran? A full on censorship of VPNs too.

At least Russia and Iran have an excuse. They are protecting against foreign attempts to overthrow their governments. The British state is primarily protecting against its own citizens. Its why they are doing it in a sneaky way. Blaming it on 'protection of children" etc.
