Funny how much better looking EVERYTHING is without windows

What’s the best way to do backups? My fear is my kid goes in to my drive and accidentally deletes some folders without me knowing. Then later I back it up and now my backup is missing that data too and it’s forever lost.

Rsnapshot is a good one. Keeps every version of every file added or changed. Does not delete files from the archive. Uses hard links and a rotation script. You set the number of daily, monthly, and yearly copies you want to keep. Can work on a local USB drive as well as over your network to any rsync capable machine.

And interesting to see the different types of search results on their search engine compared to duck duck go/Google etc.
