On this Telegram channel, we teach Patriots how to defeat tyrannical 'big tech' organizations like Microsoft (Windows), Apple, Google, and more, by learning to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and the Linux Operating System.

We go beyond the concept of 'alternate social media platforms', to the place where you need to be to truly take back control -- the operating system level -- and show you how to get complete control over your technology, once and for all. Linux is the future!

what is the best password manager to use? Currently using dashlane but want to move to a FOSS alternative.
If you are using the Bill Gates-designed Microsoft Windows on your laptop or desktop, here's a partial list of some of the updates that were pushed (forced) on to your computer THIS MONTH ALONE. do you have any idea what the updates Microsoft constantly forces on to your computer are doing to your files, and your digital life?

There's a better way, friends. On this channel we teach you how to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and switch to the Linux Operating System. Linux is the future, and it is Digital Freedom!

@Jeffrey_Peterson
Friends, this morning's Quiz refreshed our memories about the problem: We feel like we can't trust the bloated, inefficient, virus and big-ridden Microsoft Windows Operating System to run at the core of our digital lives. As one person responded, "we want out of the corrupt technology systems!"

And so now, we continue to bring you the solution here on the Jeff.pro channel. Our community teaches you about a whole new world for your technology, Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and the Linux Operating System. Linux is a complete replacement for Windows, it is free, (you can download it right now from any of the distro sites), Linux is a full-featured, complete set of software and tools that will get your digital life back on track, away from Microsoft and bring you to a place where you can move beyond 'big tech' control over your life and truly achieve Digital Freedom for your future.

We bring you bite-sized, quick lessons about switching to Linux every day, here on this channel. You can always ask questions of the more than 5,000 Patriots in our technology chat room: @jptchat or visit our Technology forums at https://forums.jeff.pro , we are here to help you along your Linux journey! It takes a while, give yourself some time, but you will feel better to get your digital life headed in the right direction once and for all!

There is a myth that circulates about "conservatives not being technical." In our experience that is totally untrue. We prove it untrue here all the time. Through this group we have identified tons of Patriots who previously worked in highly technical careers, electrical engineers who were trained by the U.S. Armed forces, technical graduates and high-tech business owners. In our own anonymous survey, more than half of everyone here rated themselves as "5 out of 10," with some decent computer experience, able to find their way around with computers.

The time has arrived for Americans to start moving away from 'big tech' ecosystems, to get more involved, and start building, and re-building our own technical solutions across the board. Whether that means changing cell phone carriers, learning about Ham Radio, or what ever steps we take to achieve digital self-responsibility, on this channel we advocate for we the people and encourage everyone to get more involved with their technology, instead of running away from it!
Now is the time to move away from 'big tech' computer operating systems like Microsoft Windows.

On this channel, we teach Patriots how to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and the Linux Operating System. Linux is a complete replacement for Windows, it is free, it has been developed for 30 years, and it is the future of computing.

Follow this channel for the best Linux tips and learning!

Since the focus here is moving away from big tech, will importing email from my MS live account to Thunderbird be counterproductive? I dont want to compromise a new clean Mint system

Whatโ€™s the best way to do backups? My fear is my kid goes in to my drive and accidentally deletes some folders without me knowing. Then later I back it up and now my backup is missing that data too and itโ€™s forever lost.

admins note We love the Linux rsync utility @ on the Jeff.pro channel! โฌ‡๏ธ

Rsnapshot is a good one. Keeps every version of every file added or changed. Does not delete files from the archive. Uses hard links and a rotation script. You set the number of daily, monthly, and yearly copies you want to keep. Can work on a local USB drive as well as over your network to any rsync capable machine.
