I just finished the recording of this awesome book called “Great Battles for Boys: The American Revolution” written by patriot Joe Giorello and loved it!

This week I got Basic Keelboat and Basic Keelboat Navigation certified down in the Florida Keys with a couple of Special Operations patriots. I’ve always liked learning about sailing, but getting to do it under challenging conditions was outstanding.

Captain Joe (pictured) is an ex Navy SEAL and is used to putting things into Simple’s terms so no one misunderstands and dies. Amazing instructor!
If you’re a military vet and want to learn to sail, I’ll send you his way.

Sammy and I used to work together. I left in 2018 to work for myself and he stayed.
Soon, the company was mandating vaccines and he came by to ask my thoughts. I told him I wouldn’t take that shot with a 10 foot pole. He said he wasn’t going to either.
Later the company backed down because Sammy and a lot of others refused (he’s always been a ringleader in doing the right thing) to take it. Today we met up for a burger and to talk about old times. It was good to see him.

Alot of folks ask me to read this poem, so I recorded it, added a couple of sound effects, and put it on my podcast and YouTube channel.
It’s a classic from the early 1900’s set in the gold fields of the Yukon Territory up in Canada, and a lot of folks have said it’s nostalgic to them because they used to hear it on camping trips as kids .
