Pokrovsk’s importance as a supply hub has now been fulfilled by Russia. The front is blooming outward in all directions, and as the front is pushed further out of shelling range, Pokrovsk will become even more of an important supply hub for the Russian build toward Druzhkivka and Kramatorsk, as well as Mezhova and Pavlohrad in the longer term.

SPECULATION
Of course, it’s far too early to speak of such ridiculous big arrows - but in the very long term, as the front collapses, Pokrovsk, along with other cities like Orikhiv and Pokrovske will act as a launch pad for the Russian columns to wrap up the rest of the Donbas and reach Pavlohrad from the south and east. In a similar way, large numbers of border crossings in all oblasts from Kharkiv to Kyiv will be needed to be created by Russia in the last few weeks of AFU resistance to act as appropriate springboards for the final push to the Dnipro river.
This will all happen very slowly, then extremely, extremely quickly, all at once. Refer to WillyOAM’s “bankruptcy” theory of collapse.
Naturally, this will only occur when the AFU is completely exhausted to the point where putting up a fight is beyond their capabilities.
The collapse itself will be a tragic and disastrous event that can only be avoided by peace negotiations. A race to the river will ensue, with Russian forces rushing to cut the bridges before the AFU can retreat behind them. Large, large numbers of AFU personnel could be stranded on the east bank of the Dnipro river and encircled. I sincerely hope that when the end nears, Ukrainian command will give appropriate withdrawal orders to the west bank of the river.
This isn’t some fantasy, massive collapses in a war of attrition are an extremely well documented phenomenon.

Moscow Oblast is under attack from dozens of Ukrainian long-range drones right now.
Air defence activity is reported around the outskirts of the capital, as they try to prevent the Ukrainian drones from reaching the city limits.
