Lumon Industries from Severance now has its own LinkedIn page. Can we stop for a second and appreciate the irony that imaginary company made that way to represent all horrors of office work looks absolutely normal on LinkedIn?

It seems that Meta tries to run out of candidates on key markets by banning all previously fired people in their blacklist.

LinkedIn is in general a very odd place to search for a job, but it's even worse than I thought:
They add hidden skills for you. Those skills are not visible in your profile, but they are used when someone is searching for candidates or when you are searching for a job.
In my case, API and OOP are clearly not relevant to my job, but who cares, if by adding these hidden skills LN makes money β by showing me promoted programming jobs.
I would not be mad if those skills would appear in my profile, so I can simply delete them as irrelevant ones. But the only way to remove them is to contact the support. Those skills are just not among ones you can edit.

According to Reddit reports and Google Trends, Facebook disabled noticeable amount of accounts, including some artists and indie developers. It was done by an algorithm and not for a specific violation.
The support is non-existent and disputes never end up in favor of users, so these accounts are basically gone.

TeamSpeak is doing some OperaGX level of marketing here, celebrating the issues of Discord (their main competitor, as they think)!

YouTube will now automatically show ads after peaks. They expect it will significantly improve revenue. We expect it will destroy retention.
They also announced that previous practice when ads were shown during speech will be eliminated and the algorithm will always aim for a break or scene switching.

LinkedIn fake job proposals are getting lazy. The idea is simple: it's a real paid AD that LN allows in general for some mass-roles.
This ad is directing you to a website that asks for all your data βfor reviewβ, and then they just sell this data (and you agreed to that during the application).
In the worst case, it asks to pay for some kind of approval of future payments.

Almost everyone who contacted the Discord support team during the last couple of years, is affected:
Discord was using a 3rd party support service and they leaked almost everything they could, including photos and documents provided.
They pretend that only a few people were affected, but it seems that everyone who contacted their support got the warning.
In the meantime EU is still trying to implement Chat Control 2.0 with extra backdoors to your files and messages.

Just in case, Facebook is still banning thousands of fair users daily, including a lot of indie developers who stayed there for networking.
Wait, why?
This spring they acquired and hired an AI startup for moderation and fired most of their human moderators. Now literally every move or no moves at all can lead to your permanent ban.
Over the last few months total bans are beyond imaginable. Many of them lost access to friends and family (who only communicate on FB/WhatsApp), to local groups, communities of universities and so on. You can be a paid user, own a big business on Facebook and spend a fortune on their ads β it will not save you. There's no support to talk to.
There are class action lawsuits already, but they will last for years.
PS. The screenshot isn't mine, but I was set to be deleted this July and only avoided that by industry connections.
