Exactly 61 years ago, Yuri Gagarin aboard the Vostok spacecraft became the first person to conquer airless space.

108 minutes outside the earth's atmosphere, a manned orbit around the planet, a historic event that opened the way for mankind to explore the Universe. Since then, people have been on the moon, automatic vehicles have explored many planets in the solar system and even gone beyond it.

The International Space Station is operating in orbit, an example of successful cooperation in space exploration by a dozen and a half countries.
