The answer to the riddle is: Your body parts (hands, feet, skin)

Source: Qur’an – Surah An-Nur (24:24) & Surah Fussilat (41:20–22)
“Their own tongues, hands and feet will bear witness against them for what they used to do.”

This riddle is a reminder of the Day of Judgment — a day when our own bodies will speak. Though silent in this life, our hands, feet, and skin will testify with perfect truth about everything they were used for. There’s no hiding, no twisting the story. Our limbs become witnesses. May Allah ﷻ allow us to use every part of ourselves for what is pleasing to Him. Ameen.

The answer to the riddle is: Mizan, your scale of deeds
-
It moves up and down with everything that you do, good or bad. You can’t see the scale in this life but it will be presented to you in front of Allah ﷻ on Judgement Day. This scale will decide the outcome of our akhirah. Allah warns us about this in Surah Qariah verses 6-9:

Then as for the one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
he will be in a pleasant life.
But as for the one whose scales are light,
his refuge will be an abyss (Fire).

Oh Allah, make our good deeds heavy and our bad deeds light, and keep us among the blessed ones, Ameen 🤲🏻

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Each organ of the body has the duty to worship Allāh at all times, which will bring one closer to Him. If he keeps himself busy with worship, he will be close to Allāh, but if he is busy with his desires, seeking relief, or being idle, he will fail. The servant is constantly fluctuating between being close to Allāh and being far from Him.“
