The Governor of the Irkutsk Region confirmed the first UAV attack on Siberia — the source from which the drones were launched has been blocked
Igor Kobzev reported that there was an attack by drones on a military unit in the village of Sredniy — the first in Siberia. One drop was on an old building in Novomaltinsk. The exact number of UAVs has not yet been counted. Locals reported that, just like in the Murmansk Region, the drones took off from some truck. The source from which the drones were launched has already been blocked, Kobzev said.
“Operational and security services have been deployed to the scene: FSB officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Russian National Guard fighters. We have set up an operational headquarters. I also went to the Usolsky District myself,” the head of the region clarified. According to him, there is no threat to people.
