The PYM mourns the loss of Reverend Graylan Hagler, Baltimore native, pillar of the DC community, longtime revolutionary, and friend. He took his experiences with him everywhere he would go, regularly uplifting Black-Palestinian solidarity and preaching love, justice, and righteousness to all who ever had the privilege to hear him.

Reverend Hagler was a warrior for the Palestinian cause whose most powerful weapon was his voice. Reverend Hagler led multiple delegations of clergy members and Black Americans to Palestine to connect our struggles for liberation, before he ultimately received a lifetime ban from the entity. His commitment to the struggle never wavered, not when he was imprisoned by the racist judicial system in Boston, not when his passport was seized by the state, not when he received death threats from angry Zionists. For the DMV chapter, Reverend Hagler was a close confidant and mentor, always offering his support and guidance. Even when he lost his physical voice, he maintained his lifelong dedication to freedom through writing and his physical presence at rallies, picket lines, and wherever people could be found fighting for liberation. Reverend Hagler loved the people, and the people loved him.
We take inspiration from Reverend Hagler's words, presence, passion, and indomitable spirit. In his memory, we carry the flame of the struggle forward. May his legacy guide us to collective liberation, one in which we walk hand in hand in a Free Palestine which he so valiantly fought for. Rest in Power Reverend.

The Board of Empire is colonialism in its most shameless form.
We condemn in the strongest terms the Board of Empire, all who finance it and staff it, and all who plan to profit off the subjugation of our people and our land. There will be no peace under occupation, the Board of Empire must leave Gaza now, and Palestinians in Gaza must have their sovereignty.

The Board of “Peace” held its inaugural meeting on Thursday, February 19. Cloaking their imperialist ambitions with rhetoric of “security, prosperity, and peace,” the ruling elite unveiled a plan to subjugate Gaza to an internationally enforced colonial project. While praising President Trump and his administration, representatives from over a dozen countries pledged billions of dollars and thousands of troops and trained police, who will be deployed to Rafah and ultimately span the rest of Gaza. Through this military occupation, the Board of Empire seeks to secure their financial interests amidst the rubble of Gaza while dismissing the needs of Palestinians in Gaza who have lived through two years of genocide. We are not fooled by the AI videos of colonially-defined prosperity or pandering to the Trump administration. As a product of empire, the Board of "Peace" will not ensure Palestinian sovereignty or hold Israel accountable as it continues to massacre Palestinians and block the delivery of aid.
Join us tomorrow in front of the Walter Convention Center, where the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is set to hold its annual conference. This year, the conference is shrouded in near total secrecy with a complete media blackout and no public information or registration. After two years of supporting genocide in Gaza, including by repeatedly seen as advocating for unconditional military aid to Israel, AIPAC shamelessly advocates for the interests of a foreign country over American interests.
In addition, Benjamin Netanyahu, who has a warrant out for his arrest for war crimes, is slated to address conference attendees only a couple weeks after his most recent and seventh visit to the U.S. under the Trump administration. We refuse to sit idly while our tax dollars are stolen from us to massacre tens of thousands of Palestinians. We refuse to let AIPAC control US politics. Americans' tax dollars should be dedicated to funding housing, healthcare, education, and other domestic services.

Israel and the United States have struck Iran. In the last hour, large clouds of smoke could be seen billowing from areas in central Tehran. The site of impact in the downtown area appeared to be in close proximity to Iranian government buildings. A US official confirmed that the United States is participating in the strikes, and that the US is coordinating with Israel in launching the attack.
The United States and its proxy military base of Israel are openly and brazenly attacking a sovereign nation’s capital. They are doing so in an attempt to ignite a regional war that would multiply the suffering of the Iranian people and the people of the wider region. The US and Israel continue to demonstrate that the real threats to the Middle East are Zionism and imperialism.
This escalation would not be possible without the military cargo being sent from the US to the Zionist entity. The only way to curb US imperialism worldwide is through a people’s arms embargo.
From the belly of the beast, we say: Hands off Iran, hands off our region! Arms embargo now!
