In other news our eggplants are doing great, so we made chicken and eggplant parmesan pasta last night. Turns out a family can tear through that rather quickly. So I am making a chicken and eggplant parmesan sandwich with home grown tomatoes and habeneros with sun dried tomatoes, balsmaic vinegar reduction and capers as well. Umami? What is that? That fuckin horse anime you nerd?

Also, some homeless camp lost control of their fire (no surprise) and got the power shut off to all of my valley, the town I get my mail through, and the next town down because the camp was located under the main transmission lines for the whole area.

Everyone who isn't on a municipal water (and that gets shut off too) supply uses well water which means we use electricity to pump the water up. God forbid power goes off and a wild fire hits, how would I power my well to fight the fire to protect my house?
