I saw a post from yesterday about garbage trucks and the guys that work the back, we call them Hoppers someone said they were mostly dope heads and border line homeless people this is contrary to the basic thought of dumpster divers as a garbage truck is a rolling dumpster. Back in the day I worked as a mechanic building and maintenance on a fleet of trucks for in the United States WM management services in my opinion a Hopper on these trucks is the ultimate dumpster diver that not only see what is daily supply and salvage but gets paid to scrap, not only that buts it's actually kinda fun to do the job as you wouldn't believe the kinda shit these guys bring back daily not only that but there's side money to be made by hauling off questionable goodies at random places lol been there did that ... all hail raccoons

Another score today. Met the new neighbor who's gutting a house, said he saw my scrap bin and asked if he should drop it off at my place or if I want to come over and he'll help load it. Had a couple beers, bunch of copper, 2 furnaces, full kitchen ensemble, claw foot cast iron tub (cracked), and a ton of misc steel.

Going back on Friday to haul it all off. Going to be a 3-4 yard run this weekend
