#BREAKING: The #Myanmar junta has initiated the recruitment of men over the age of 35 for "people's security teams" as a component of the Public Security and Anti-Terrorism Central Supervisory Committee, which was established on August 16. Several men over the age of 60 have been recruited in the past week, according to reliable sources.

The junta implemented a two-year mandatory military service requirement for men between the ages of 18 and 35 and women between the ages of 18 and 27 in February. Many young people have been fleeing the country as a result of the compulsory #conscription.
