В рамках визита состоялась встреча с участием делегации во главе с хокимом Бухарской области Ботиром Зариповым и руководством авиакомпании «Эйр Азия» Малайзии.

В ходе встречи представители обеих сторон подчеркнули, что развитие сотрудничества между странами в сфере гражданской авиации в равной степени отвечает интересам Узбекистана и Малайзии.

Кроме того, на диалоге широко обсуждались актуальные вопросы дальнейшего укрепления грузо- и пассажиропотоков транспортных коридоров.

Хоким Бухарской области Ботир Зарипов внес конкретные предложения по организации паломничества малайзийцев к историческим святыням и местам паломничества нашей страны, особенно в Бухаре, и в связи с этим создание "Куала-Лумпур-Бухара-Куала-Лумпур", авиамаршрут, целью которого является реализация проекта «Умра+».

На встрече директор по продажам Air Asia госпожа Карен Чан отметила, что большой туристический потенциал Узбекистана и богатое историческое и культурное наследие вызывают большой интерес у граждан Малайзии. По ее мнению, соглашение о воздушном сообщении между Узбекистаном и Малайзией послужит дальнейшей активизации сотрудничества между двумя странами.

Исходя из этого, по итогам встречи стороны договорились продолжить совместную работу по налаживанию регулярных рейсов по обозначенным маршрутам.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the participation of a delegation led by the khokim of the Bukhara region Botir Zaripov and the leadership of the Air Asia airline of Malaysia.

During the meeting, representatives of both sides stressed that the development of cooperation between the countries in the field of civil aviation equally meets the interests of Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

In addition, topical issues of further strengthening the freight and passenger traffic of transport corridors were widely discussed at the dialogue.

Khokim of the Bukhara region Botir Zaripov made specific proposals on organizing the pilgrimage of Malaysians to the historical shrines and places of pilgrimage of our country, especially in Bukhara, and in this regard, the creation of "Kuala Lumpur-Bukhara-Kuala Lumpur", an air route, the purpose of which is the implementation of the project "Umrah+".

At the meeting, Air Asia Sales Director Ms. Karen Chan noted that the great tourism potential of Uzbekistan and the rich historical and cultural heritage are of great interest to the citizens of Malaysia.

In her opinion, the agreement on air communication between Uzbekistan and Malaysia will serve to further intensify cooperation between the two countries.

Based on this, following the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on establishing regular flights on designated routes.
