🇲🇩 🇷🇺 With a 17 hours delay the Moldovan side announced its position on the failed gas negotiations. Deputy prime minister responsible for infrastructure Andrei Spinu said that the Moldovan delegation conducted two-day negotiations with the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak, the head of Gazprom-Export Elena Burmistrova and the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulgin. According to Spinu, official Chisinau insisted on an option that would suit both sides.

"The price requested by Gazprom, including financial and non-financial conditions, including the payment of the historic debt in a short time, is much higher than the offers on the international gas market. The Republic of Moldova cannot agree to pay more for gas than all other states in the region," says the Moldovan vice -premier.

He made public Gazprom's assurances that the entire volume of gas promised by the Russian gas monopolist in October will be supplied. On Monday, October 25, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend a press-conference where he is going to answer questions about the failed round of negotiations. Although Chisinau is asking for a new attempt to reach an agreement, there are doubts about the success (and sincerity) of this intention. In all likelihood, on Monday Spinu will, to one degree or another, lift the veil of secrecy regarding Gazprom's "non-financial" conditions.

According to leaks into the Moldovan media community from near-government sources, this list is a «shortlist of the nightmares of a Romanian nationalist in Bessarabia»:

- immediate reintegration of Transnistria into the Republic of Moldova;

- recognition of the debt of the left-bank part of Moldova in € 8 billion, which was accumulated by Transnistria;

- payment in a short time of a debt of $ 800 million accumulated by right-bank Moldova (the only claim confirmed in the publications of the Russian media);

- refusal to reform the energy system;

The published list of spooky stories is rather strange, because 95% of this conditions cannot be discussed with the Moldovan delegation to the extent and with the credentials that the official Chisinau has endowed it with. Moscow would not discuss the recognition of the historical debt of Transnistria and the reintegration of the region with anyone ranked lower than the prime minister (with all due respect to the heads of the Moldovan delegation). Apparently, this leak is a continuation of the informational preparation started by authorities both on whipping up hysteria in society and on the proposal of a "salvatory" solution in the form of buying Russian gas from Kiev at a price of $ 1200 per thousand cubic meters.
