An undercover operation by multiple departments across the Valley has led to the arrest of 16 people related to child sex crimes.

Phoenix police say “Operation Tangled Web” targeted people seeking illegal sex acts online in 2022. The exact dates were not released. The suspects allegedly solicited or brokered deals for online illegal sex acts with children before being arrested.

Cochise County will not move forward with full hand count of ballots

Following an hour-long discussion, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors decided to move forward in responding to Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

The board sent a response to Hobbs, stating that Cochise County plans to follow all state laws during the election. They clarified that this means they will not complete a full hand count of every item on the ballot.

We need a new ESA administration! It has been poorly managed for years. The issues everyone is having now are the same old problems, but just multiplied since we have tens of thousands of new students in the program.

For many months the ESA office has only had their phones open from 10-2. They have an additional $2.2 million dollars & 26 new positions with this expansion & that money was retroactive back to 7/1. There should have been plans to have a larger team ready on DAY ONE.

Why do some believe Voter ID is such a threat? Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer has publicly come out against it and is trying to bring others unknowingly with him.

On Tuesday, Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer violated election law, illegally using public resources to place the thumb of government on the scale to influence the outcome of the election, waging a political campaign against common sense voter ID requirements. Even worse, Richer deceptively implied that all 15 County Recorders agreed with him. Turns out, that wasn’t true.

TAKE ACTION: Email Stephen Richer and let him know you SUPPORT Prop 309 and disapprove of his improper use of public monies. Recorder Richer’s email is: [email protected]. Below is a sample email that can be used.

“Recorder Richer, I am a voter in Maricopa county and will be voting YES on Prop 309 because I support common-sense Voter ID requirements. I strongly disapprove of your actions this week using public resources to electioneer. It’s a clear violation of the law, a misuse of public funds, compelled speech, and it is wholly inappropriate for government to place its thumb on the scale to influence an election. Government should not be in the business of running political campaigns.”
