There is a serious situation taking place in the PV School District right now. There was a pornographic book recently assigned to students at Horizon HS. Most of you have probably read about this! Believe it or not there are those in the district who feel the pornographic book was perfectly okay to assign to the students and I have been told they will be showing up in BIG numbers at next board meeting on December 2nd. They are upset the teachers and principal are being held accountable. I would like to ask that all M4L members who can, please show up and support us at the next PV board meeting. Even if you belong to a different district, we could really use your support. 😊

Campaign Finance Report Shows Referendum Against Tax Cuts Was Purchased by Out-of-State Special Interest Groups - AZ FREE NEWS

Invest in Arizona wants you to believe that they ran a grassroots campaign. But that notion is absurd. And you don’t need to look very far to find out.

Recently, the political committee filed its campaign finance report. And lo and behold, what does it show? That the National Education Association (NEA) and Stand for Children, two out-of-state special interest groups, purchased the referendum against historic tax cuts that Republicans delivered earlier this year.

Just look at the numbers. In Quarter 3, Invest in Arizona received just over $16,000 from individual donors. Now, compare that to the nearly $2.4 million it received from the NEA and the more than $2.3 million it received in cash, goods, and services from Stand for Children.

That’s more than $4.5 million—basically their entire budget—with the overwhelming majority spent on gathering signatures

Supporters of Invest in Ed, now known as Invest in Arizona, want to void the new tax rate law despite the fact all Arizonans would share in the projected $1 billion savings. The group is trying to kill the flat rate plan by utilizing a provision of the Arizona Constitution which gives citizens 90 days after the legislative sessions ends to attempt to refer new state laws for voter approval.

Last week Invest in Arizona successfully submitted enough valid petition signatures to get the matter on the ballot next November as Proposition 307.

Today, we are announcing that Ms. Shelley Strohfus will begin serving as the acting principal at Horizon High School while Ms. Inhat is on leave. An acting principal assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of leading a school during the absence of a school principal.
Ms. Strohfus has been a part of the school community, serving as assistant principal for several years, and we are confident in her abilities to lead Horizon High School.

I have had two people reach out to me today asking if HCQ and/or Ivermectin are legal to prescribe/fill in Arizona. I didn't realize we still might have misinformation out there, so I am going to post some links to the current situation.

Executive Order 2020-20 did put a hold on a provider's ability to prescribe Hydroxycholoroquine (HCQ). I asked the Governor to rescind that EO in June of this year, and he did keep his word. Executive order 2021-16 rescinds 25 Executive orders, to include 2020-20.

There is no action or executive order that prevented pharmacies from filling anyone's prescriptions that I am aware of. Most pharmacists do have the legal authority to use discretion when filling a prescription. They have the ability to determine if the medication is contraindicated with other medicines the person may be taking. In that instance, they contact the prescribing provider and discuss the issue with them before denying the prescription. As for controlled substances, they are able to have discretion on filling those if they suspect a person should not have obtained that prescription. Finally, they have the right to not fill an abortion medication based on their conscience.

I did contact the Pharmacy Board, who told me they are on record stating that they do not take a position on pharmacies filling these prescriptions and have chosen to stay out of it. The pharmacies do not have any reason to fear that their license is in jeopardy for filling the prescriptions.

Because the FDA has not yet approved Ivermectin for the treatment of Covid-19, many pharmacists are choosing not to fill it. However, this seems to be seen more in large corporations rather than in locally owned compounding pharmacies. I recently posted a list of pharmacies that are locally owned. I have not contacted them to see if they are willing to fill ivermectin or not, that is for the patient to do. However, I wanted that list out to make it easier for the folks here to do a little research in their area.

I hope this provides the information needed to make a determination regarding these two medicines.
