Cyber Ninjas Quietly Go to Arizona Supreme Court Over Right to Change Judge in Arizona Republic's Audit Records Case | AZ Law Blog

The Cyber Ninjas quietly filed a Special Action Petition last night with the Arizona Supreme Court, stating that they should be able to ask for a new judge in the election "audit" records case brought by the Arizona Republic newspaper.

The news organization filed a special action in Maricopa County Superior Court on June 30th seeking financial records and communications about the audit from the Senate and Cyber Ninjas.

The Republican Party is not involved in this lawsuit, but Cyber Ninjas' attorney Jack Wilenchik argues that Judge Hannah shows "actual bias and prejudice" against the Arizona GOP and "conservative causes".

RE: Senator Kelly Townsend responds to Arizona school boards ignoring ban on mask mandates
Phoenix, AZ
07/30/2021

The elected legislative branch has acted this year to prohibit the type of mandates that Phoenix Unified School Board has announced they intend to enforce. The school board's attorney believes they have a window of authority to overreach, despite the clear intent of the law.

I have directed my counsel, both at Legislative Council and the Attorney General's Office to determine the effective date of the law I supported and intend to see enforced.

I will continue to give updates as to what action can be taken, as they come in. It is clear we still have an issue with rogue school boards when it comes to forcing masks. I encourage all parents to exercise their statutory authority given to them in A.R.S.1-602, giving them the authority to make medical and educational choices for their child.

Godspeed,
Senator Kelly Townsend

Even though Governor Ducey signed legislation on June 9th to "ban" CRT in Arizona, a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) bill - SB1376 - was signed into law the very next day.

What is SEL?

SEL is a program that, if done well, can be a good thing. It would simply be about ensuring that students are not facing discrimination, bullying, etc. and being sure there is a system in place to help struggling students, whether that is in academics, mentally, or emotionally. It would have nothing to do with skin color, race, or religion being a hindrance to anyone in any way. True "youth empowerment" is teaching kids that everyone and anyone has the ability to succeed in life. The issue we are seeing, however, is that many SEL programs include language about "equity" and "diversity" that become synonymous with the discriminatory ideology we've seen in CRT. This is what we'd like to avoid.

"SEL advances educational equity and excellence through authentic school-family-community partnerships to establish learning environments and experiences that feature trusting and collaborative relationships, rigorous and meaningful curriculum and instruction, and ongoing evaluation. SEL can help address various forms of inequity and empower young people and adults to co-create thriving schools and contribute to safe, healthy, and just communities.

A program called CASEL is being implemented into some of our schools, including charter schools. This program is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Buried in the Arizona Department of Education website are specific guidelines from CASEL stating that implementation of this program should "engage staff, families, and community partners in foundational learning."

Have you, as a "community partner", been asked to participate in this implementation of CASEL or any other SEL program in your district?

Here are the concerns about SEL in general.

SEL is ill-defined, unproven and still connected to Common Core.

There’s a mish-mash of psycho-social, neuroscience talk, and programs are not always well-explained to parents, or well-understood. SEL covers so much.

“Core” is used often, because SEL is connected to Common Core.

Where’s the research? The reliance of support is on a 2011 Meta-analysis of eight studies showing students do better academically with SEL activities, but there’s nothing to support the pervasive dominance of SEL assessment in schools. Full article here.

A confidential CDC internal report shows COVID-19 hospitalizations of the fully vaccinated, as of the end of April, at 9%, and hospital deaths at 15%❗️

The percentage of hospital deaths who were fully vaccinated had nearly a 5-fold increase from 3.1% to 15.1% during the month of April.

At the start of May, the CDC announced that they would no longer be tracking COVID-19 infections in the fully vaccinated also known as "breakthrough cases" unless they were hospitalized.

The government and the media who have been saying that "99% of people hospitalized are unvaccinated" or that this is a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" have been lying to the American people.

What percentage of the hospitalized and in-hospital deaths were fully vaccinated for the months of May, June, and July

The Emperor Has No Clothes: Finding the Courage to Break the Spell

How do we stop this neo-feudal re-imagining of society? How do we play chicken with a regime that appears to hold all the cards? At this point it is clear that regaining our freedom depends entirely on the government losing the support of the crowd. To use the words of Hans Christian Andersen's timeless folktale from 1837, we need to shake our frightened fellow citizens out of their stupor by getting them to see that "the emperor has no clothes" but, more importantly, we need everyone who sees it to be willing to say it out loud.

So, in this essay, I am going to dissect the psychology of dissent.

…The simple reality is that this first step is fought with symbolism, with herd psychology, and with the courage to bear the cost of speaking out when others will not. Navigating this first step is the focus of this essay because that is where we are falling short.

To plant a seed of doubt, to help people take that first step, it is not what you say that matters so much as being seen to say it, out loud, in public, in a way that allows you to be identified and counted, and being willing to face the music when the world can see what you really think. And saying it over and over again, relentlessly, until enough voices join in, until the counter chorus can no longer be dismissed as fringe. Doubt is created by breaking the illusion of consensus.
