“There were 74,000 EV33 forms that did not have matching EV32s. EV33s are for received ballots, while EV32s are for sent ballots. This was brought up in the context of justifying why we should do canvassing, because the situation didn’t make any sense. Canvassing would give an explanation as to what was happening here, and if anything was wrong or if there is a good explanation for it. If Maricopa county officials were answering questions, as in a normal audit, they would’ve had an opportunity to explain. However, even if they’d give us an explanation, as auditors we would then need to validate if their response logically explained the situation. We are working to validate the claims by Maricopa county that they put out on Twitter. If they were to act professionally, these conversations could just happen in meetings; but their sole goal has been to try to discredit the audit. They clearly don’t know anything about how professional audits go, if they think this sort of issue is something an auditor would know walking in the door without asking questions.”

Mesa Community College is paying students $200 to create community of interest maps which the IRC uses to define new boundaries. These boundaries are effective for a decade and will directly impact the outcomes of future elections.

“This is truly a sad day for the Higley Unified School District and the students and families it serves. The level of apparent corruption is staggering and heartbreaking. I am proud to have actively fought against this abuse of power, misuse of taxpayer monies, and blatant disregard for the law during my tenure on the Higley governing board.
As a result of these findings, I will be looking at opportunities for education reform legislation to introduce next session in order to ensure that crooked administrators stop bleeding our schools of their resources and start putting students and teachers first.”

... However, there is an order by the CDC that requires masks to be worn on public transportation. This order supersedes state law and must be followed by the school district. There was a specific question regarding whether it applied to school buses, and as you will see below, the CDC confirmed that the order applies to school buses, whether they are operated by the district or by a private provider. SUSD will be complying with this federal requirement. Students who choose to ride the bus, along with SUSD bus drivers, will be required to wear masks while on the bus. Students are not required to wear masks while waiting at a bus stop or after they disembark, and drivers are not required to wear masks if no students are on the bus.
