Hood - slang word meaning an unhappy neighborhood, a neighborhood, inhabited predominantly by people of low socioeconomic status.

Сил на полноценный английский курс/клуб у меня нет, все брошено на арабский.
Но!
Продолжаю свой челлендж с произношением, буду отчитываться.

But we all notice that it's becoming harder and harder to understand dialog in movies, don't we?

Поэтому если вы ругаете себя за просмотр фильмов с субтитрами, то прямо сейчас можете перестать: даже у носителей та же проблема 😁

Ну и обратите внимание на американский вариант спряжения глагола get - gotten.

То, за что учительница в школе снизила бы нам оценку 😁
Сначала эта форма появилась в британском английском, перекочевала в американский и закрепилась там, при этом вымерев в британском (кроме некоторых диалектов), а теперь благодаря этим вашим интернетам и глобализации проникает обратно в британский.

Это реимпорт? 🙂
