WAFF is looking for Safety Marshals 👮

We’re looking for Volunteers who can help with security, customer service and general safety of all who are attending the convention. If you’re looking to step up we’d be happy to have you 🫡

It will be 2 shifts of 3 hour work any day of the convention and training for your role will be provided by our staff.

It’s not without benefit though as you will not only receive a complementary ticket to WAFF 2026 but breakfast with the staff as well as a small welfare allowance for food and coffee (sweet ambrosia 🤤)

GENERAL DUTIES~

●Monitor and Ensure attendees have correct Badge/Identification upon entry to event space.
●Monitor and Ensure attendees have correct Badge/Identification while inside event rooms.

●Address or report & escalate anti-social/aggressive behaviour where required
●Address or report & escalate any medical/first aid incidents where required
●Assist with general customer service enquiries
Requirements to be available for 2x3hr shifts across the weekend any convention day

WAFF 2026 AV Crew Call-Out

Want to help bring WAFF 2026 to life from behind the scenes?

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Audio Visual crew and help support the events, panels, performances and special moments happening throughout the convention.

You do not need to be an industry expert. Whether you already have experience with sound, lighting, cameras, streaming or event production, or you simply want to learn, we would love to hear from you.

As part of the AV crew, you could assist with:

• Operating microphones & sound equipment
• Supporting panels and live events
• Helping presenters and performers get ready
• Troubleshooting basic technical issues
• Keeping events running smoothly and on time

Joining the crew is a great opportunity to gain practical event production experience, learn new technical skills and work alongside an experienced and supportive team.

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how WAFF operates, meet new people, contribute directly to the community and help create memorable experiences for everyone attending.

Deco Day Part 3

Sunday 26th July!

It is all coming together now and we are getting close to the wire. The Deco Team are looking for any crafty people to come help us out from 11am to 4pm.

Come in some old clothes you won't mind getting paint on or come in something brand new that you want to add a splash of paint on!
