5 years ago today, I released my first short film, The Banjo Man Cometh. I had no idea what I was doing, no experience, no equipment, just a little vlogging camera that I borrowed from my sister. I didn't even write a script, just had a general story in my head, and we improvised the whole thing.

Since then I have spent hundreds of hours researching and learning the art of filmmaking, thousands of hours of labor and invested around 20k of my own money to bring 3 more film projects to life, with a commitment to bring each film to a new level of scope and quality from the previous one. Why did we choose the name White Oak Creators Guild?

To us, the White Oak serves as a salient metaphor for culture. We are witnessing the nacent stages of a rise in racial consciousness among White people, like a sapling in the fledgling stages of life, with potential to grown into a mighty oak with deep roots that make it resilient in the face of oncoming storms.

We at the White Oak believe that a thriving scene of authentic arts and cultural creation is integral for our race to keep our people rooted to their identity. The act of creation crystallizes the very essence of a people, which will help preserve our spirit and endure in the face of White replacement.

With your support and our hard work, we can see this new project grow from an acorn into a towering Oak, a symbol to inspire our people for generations to come.

In October of 2023, the founder of WAC passed away, and with him the White Art Collective was disbanded. Since then, I have felt the void of that loss acutely. It had been such a huge part of my life, and was what inspired me to finally start my own creative endeavors.

Without Jeff Winston, there could be no White Art Collective, he was the singular founder and driving force. The creative spark that he starting in so many of us had to be kept alive, but it had to be done with the right people, at the right time.

Together with some of the finest creative around, we have finally reached that time. The White Oak Creators Guild is a new art collective for our people that I am extremely excited to help bring to life, and our first collaborative artistic project has been announced here, so be sure to get involved and start creating!

Drawn by Donald Kent in his iconic style, we have also secured our goal of 10 more artists who will bring their own unique art styles to each page.
