The fact that a lawmaker would say this in a manner that virtually no one hears, and without massive consequences that are visible.... is just as disturbing as what he says. It should not make anyone believe that he has done anything other than create optics for those desperate enough to believe anything at face value, as long as it is stated by their "side." I don't trust these men even the tiniest bit, nor any other high profile person.
