Stalin would make much use of 2 Thessalonians 3:10 for defining socialism. . . The 1930s saw the greatest use of the text, especially in preparation for the Stalin Constitution of 1936. It arose in the context of the socialist offensive, with its massive industrialization and collectivism drives, the realization of the ‘affirmative action’ program in relation to nationalities and the emerging Red Terror – all necessarily connected. It was also the time when the claim was made repeatedly that socialism had been achieved in the Soviet Union.

Years before Karl Marx's manifesto was published, Moses Hess drafted the “communist credo” ~ a cogent tract which answered questions that amateur revolutionaries posed to the communist league. An entire section of this credo was dedicated to religion:

1. Which religion should we [communists] all confess?
- The religion of love and humanity.
2. Where is the testimony and proof for this religion?
- In the hearts of all good people.
3. Is this universal human religion un-Christian?
- No; it is rather a fulfilment of the Christian religion.
4. What is the goal of Christianity?
- The salvation of all men through love, freedom, and justice.
5. Why has Christianity not yet reached its goal?
- Because it has not yet clearly recognized what it truly is, and has not yet graphically imagined what it has wished for, believed in, and hoped for.
6. What is the belief of Christianity?
- The belief in the bitter suffering of the human species.
7. Under what image do Christian believers represent the human species?
- Under the sign of the crucified Son of Man.

The Leninist aesthetic was almost unequivocally pirated from the revolutionary preacher Thomas Müntzer¹ (c. 1489–1525) who advocated for “omnia sunt communia²” - that is the original communist tradition devised by Saint Paul³. Declaring that the old order had to be disposed of, his vision for carrying out such goals involved abolishing all private property⁴, collectivization⁵, peasant mobilization⁶, and eliminating aristocracy.⁷

The perfect Christian state is not the so-called Christian state – which acknowledges Christianity as its basis, as the state religion, and, therefore, adopts an exclusive attitude towards other religions. On the contrary, the perfect Christian state is the atheistic state, the democratic state, the state which relegates religion to a place among the other elements of civil society. . . The state which is still theological, which still officially professes Christianity as its creed. . . in its reality as a state, [has] not yet succeeded in expressing the human basis – of which Christianity is the high-flown expression – in a secular, human form. . . The basic idea of communism is that people must be equal, that rich people have to share their wealth with the poor, and then build a society where everybody will have their share. This is the same as what Jesus Christ taught 2000 years ago and he was crucified for his words. In reality, the first communist was Jesus Christ.

☭ | The Polish Marxist journalist Isaac Deutscher (1907-1967) noted the astounding similarities between the evolutionary timelines of Bolshevism and Christianity, particularly with how they were almost exclusively Hebraic in their genesis but later became 'corrupted' and diluted by gentile influence:

"Christianity moved into a disintegrating pagan world, whose mind was no longer dominated by the old gods, where Jupiter's thunder no longer made men tremble, and Neptune was no longer able to shake the seas. . . It ceased to understand the Jews and it became incomprehensible to the Jews. From the Judaic creed of the oppressed it became the religion of the Roman Caesars. . . In Christianity this evolution lasted centuries; in Bolshevism — only decades. If Lenin was the St. Paul of Marxism, who set out to transplant the movement from its original environment into new lands, Stalin was already its Constantine the Great. He was, to be sure, not the first Emperor to embrace Marxism, but the first Marxist revolutionary to become the autocratic ruler of a vast empire."

The wife of Yakov Sverdlov, Klavdiya documents how the sixth Bolshevik party Congress was held at Saint Sampson's cathedral in Petrograd. The church was also Vladimir Lenin's main publishing house.

"With the help of the Bolsheviks of the Vyborg district, the Secretariat of the Central Committee rented premises for several days from the Christian brotherhood of the Sampson Church (St. Sampson's cathedral), where the first sessions of the Sixth Congress of the Bolshevik Party were held. Vyborg workers provided security for the congress. . . The warehouse of the party publishing house and the Secretariat of the Bolshevik Central Committee were comfortably located within the grounds of the holy church."

Ever so often, we hear the claim that the Bolsheviks persecuted and even killed Christian believers. Yet, they would like you to forget that the history of Christianity is built on murdering other Christians perceived as heretics, blasphemers, and schismatics.

Thousands of Eastern Orthodox folk were massacred in the first crusade for their heresy, this brutality was ramped up during the sack of Constantinople in 1204. Many centuries later, the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre occured which resulted in the deaths of 30,000+ Protestants by Catholic forces.

They never bring this up! Guess why? It's because it would weaken the credibility of their claim. Better yet there are countless denominations that HATE the Christian label such as Jehovah's Witnesses, LDS, Unitarians, Christadelphians, and Messianic Jews. This doesn't negate their Christian roots, biblical influences, or their belief in Yahweh. Bolshevism was nothing more than a secularized version of Christianity.

The word Communism had been in use for some time before the emergence of Marx and Engels. The London Communist Propaganda Society was founded in 1841, by Goodwyn Barmby, and there is an evident connection in this use with communion: ‘the Communist gives the Communion Table a higher signification, by holding it as a type of that holy millennial communitive life’. Given the affinities and overlaps of the words deriving from COMMON, this range is understandable, and certain connections were deliberately made by Christian Utopian socialists. The overlap with secular and republican terminology, basically derived from the French Revolution, is also evident.
