If I was writing the script, Trump would get convicted in NY and spend a few weeks in jail. During this period he would refuse to shave, and when his conviction is overturned on appeal, pissed off bearded Trump would emerge and win 48 states in November.

The “Heroes Journey” paradigm would seem to predict he goes all the way to the slammer, and his enemies get completely drunk on the lie they have won… then it all turns around, and the harder they overplayed their hand, the harder and more complete their fall.

The ironic thing about this party jesting post is that Hollywood spent decades programming into the public’s minds a deep understanding of the paradigm of the Hero’s Journey.
