In total, more than 100,000 munitions have been fired at the region over that time. 💥

🦏 A reconstruction of the Siberian unicorn, which went extinct around 29,000 years ago.

Many remains of the species have been found across eastern Eurasia, including teeth, parts of the skull and jaw, as well as some skeletal bones. A major concentration of its fossilized bones was discovered in the Saratov region.

Its horn is believed to have reached up to 2 meters in length, while its body measured around 5 meters long. The animal is estimated to have weighed as much as 5 tons.

It lived alongside Neanderthals and early modern humans.
